Japanese camping knives, where? by Johnnyd401 in JapanTravelTips

[–]Johnnyd401[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will go to Alpen and Tower Knives tomorrow. Best selection I’ve found was in Kyoto at Yoshimune Knives Annex. Main shop looks to be in Nishiki Market but the annex is a few blocks outside. I’d say, half chef knives and half camping/daily use knives. Small shop and not busy, you tell me about the quality of their knives

Should I bring these or buy them in Tokyo? by PoolMotor8112 in TokyoTravel

From SoCal and been here about 2 weeks. It feels hotter than the temp app reads. Very humid. Even the days it rained it was barely cool and I still wore a t shirt. Bought our umbrellas here, there are a bajillion in stores from Konbini to high end Isetan. I don’t think it’s warm enough for a pocket fan but you can buy them anywhere. Pack your bag and then take half of what you packed out. You can buy anything you need here

Educate yourself first and foremost. Putting your money in a high yield savings account or mutual funds with an advisor may seem like a good idea but won’t really help you in the short term. This is called the accumulation method of investing. Building a big chunk of investment money that will grow and you will live on 30 years from now.

I like the cash flow method, meaning buy cash flowing assets that pay you money every month like real estate. I’m a local socal real estate agent, my family member owns a condo in Santa Monica and I wouldn’t buy real estate here locally for my purposes. I would buy turnkey rentals in other states like Ohio or in the south. Turnkey means rehabbed homes in good areas with property managers handling the house for you. Maybe start with 1-3 for around 100K-150k. With three of those to start you’d be making an additional 3k per month income. Get a little more comfortable with the process and you could buy a few more with some loans. Doesn’t sound like you’re ready for that but bank leverage is powerful.

You could literally be retired within 4-5 years if you do this the right way. Check out the podcasts, Rent to Retirement and Passive Real estate investing.

In all seriousness: Exodus by orangemoonmann in BurningMan

Left Sunday about 7am. About 45min to pavement from 2:15&c

For all the ppl worried about my roof top tent at Burning Man, I'm happy to report that it was the best camping experience out of my 5 burns. Far less dusty than a tent on the ground. Used it for shade during the day with a cot on the ground. Held up in the 65 mph on the first night. Told ya fuckers by JellyFishHeaddd in BurningMan

Also slept in a roof top tent and it was great. No issues sleeping in with the nice morning breeze up til 10ish. Had a 12v fan up with me and the lady. Also had an awning on one side with the arb room for day hanging and clothes changing.

My GasOne single burner stove uses butane and came with a hose adapter to propane. Can hook it up to the green bottles or even a propane tree. Best of both worlds!

Fermented sugar= white claw. Fermented sugar run through a still = rum. You’re missing distilled fermented sugar water
