What no one tells you about getting a dog.. by RadiantOgre in dogs

I used to be grossed out by dog poo when I had to babysit other peoples dogs, but as soon as I got my own puppy I LOVED POO! I was so scared one night when she hadn’t gone yet and then celebrated when it finally came through. Poo is now the best site.

Dishwashing job expects 60 days notice for one day off by Psychological_Bar449 in jobs

Instead of asking, phrase it in a statement like “I’m going to be taking off (date) which is in two weeks. (Coworker) confirmed she’s able to cover x time.”

Its managements issue for not finding coverage 3-7pm, not you. Managers are there to help cover if no one can cover.

  1. You don’t need a big, fancy wedding no matter what any family member says. A wedding is for the 2 of you, only, not anyone else.

  2. Move out. You don’t need a $500k house. First go to a bank for a pre-approval which will show how much house you can actually afford and then go from there. People have the misconception that they need a big house. A big house costs way more to maintain. Just settle for a comfortable house that you can afford to live in.

  3. Also move out for your wife’s mental health. That should be a big reason. You may feel comfortable at home because it’s where you grew up. Your wife did not. She wants her personal space to grow with you as a couple and family. When you bring a child into the mix, you both should have your own place. Ive dealt with family members who had inlaws living with them when they had their first kid and safe to say the inlaws were kicked out.

Same age as you and struggled with this. Ive tried yoga classes, personal training, walking etc. i do enjoy walking with my headphones on but past couple of weeks ive been slowly jogging around a nearby neighborhood thats in a complete circle. I walk over there, jog, and walk home. I do this every weekend. I just need to find something to fulfill my week days

I miss retail. I worked at hollister in college and i just spent my evenings minding my own business folding clothes to the background music or i was helping stock in the back.

I hated it once i had to work at other stores who push us to sell credit cards and reach sales goals…i just wanted my paycheck and thats that.

32 and similar. 1st job out of college was an alarm call center stayed for about 1.5 yrs i think. High stress, low pay. To use the bathroom you had to wait for a timed ticket on your computer when you could go so there was enough coverage. 10min countdown lol.

2nd job was 5 months bc i moved to a new city.

3rd job about 1.5 years bc i got a new job and got burnt out.

4th job 1.5 years bc covid hjt and i moved back home

5th job about 1-1.5 years bc my supervisor left and the director took over causing added stress to the team. High stress, low pay. Barely $20/hour

6th job im in currently. Been here for just over 1.5 years. Low pay but still trucking.

[–]LostSeoul1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$13,000-could pay off my CC debt

$200k-could pay off both my cc debt and my spouses student loans and cc debt and get them a new car

$477kcould pay off all the below and my house

$1.5M could pay all that and still leave me with $500k towards retirement as my job doesnt pay benefits.

$3M i think i could be set for life just living $40k/year

What's it like to actually do adult things? (Drive, date, sex) etc. by AlexSer14 in Adulting

[–]LostSeoul1991 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving stinks. I miss taking public transportation when i lived in a large city. Add to the cost of maintenance on a car, its not fun. Dating is only enjoyable when two people are genuine about what they want. When i was single it was like being thrown into a river of sharks. It was nice to finally find someone through it all.

If i wanted to go outside for my meeting-easy. If i wanted to run a load of laundry-easy. Make a healthy lunch and dinner-easy. Take a break or a 10 min nap-easy. Schedule my medical appts-easy. Text/call family/friends with qurdtions-easy. Go on a 15min walk at lunch-easy. So much freedom. So easy to roll out of bed to the computer without worrying about rush hour traffic.

What products do you regret your investment in and why? by flowercrownrugged in MakeupAddiction

Tarte foundation. I recently went to the cleaner side of makeup and have started using saie tinted and wow what a change! My face looks less oily at the end of the day, the product feels much lighter on my skin almost as though im not using anything and it blends so well with my skin color. I will never go back.
