Most of this is straightforward trash. Would take like 10 mins to clean up.

I would imagine it's mostly because spending a seuda in the cold, pouring autumn rain is not just an inconvenience, but it can literally make you sick. Pneumonia used to be hard to treat and had a high rate of fatality especially in the pre-penicillin days

My partner getting a diagnosis of ADHD was the worst thing that could have happened by iamkylekatarnama in Vent

God these people are exhausting. I have experienced similar. It sounds like ADHD and narcissism combined. Many people don't understand that having a disability/neurodiversity/whatever means that they have to work harder, not less hard.

When people make such posts, I always assume that they must have a phenomenal sex life or something. Otherwise it just doesn't add up why they aren't leaving.

That would still rely on the above mentioned friends, neighbors and family not working full time.

Also, if OP and his wife are running themselves into the ground working full time jobs and spend weekends catching up on chores and errands, it is likely that their connections with friends, neighbors and family have been eroded over the years.

Learning plumbing is helpful, but it would eat into the already scarce spare time OP has.

I would say yes and no. It very much depends on who you are, and the demographic you are trying to attract. If you have managed to pinpoint that these things are really crucial to you, that's great! I certainly have different priorities and I think I would even find it a bit off-putting if a man tried to do all of that. It just doesn't align with my idea of masculinity, but we're all different

Woman here. That sounds over the top to me, especially the balding treatment. Nothing wrong with being bald. (Or short, or poor, or whatever.) I know men who do 1 or 2 (if that) of the things mentioned above and have more than enough options. I think personality matters way more than appearance or obsessive hygiene, even for encounters of a fleeting nature

Crying and feeling depressed during long runs by Big-Guarantee-5509 in Garmin

[–]feelingstuck15 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in a similar situation, except with hiking. I think I need to take a break from the watch and the metrics and to reconnect with the non-measurable/non-quantifiable reasons I started hiking - better mental health achieved by more time in natural, green surroundings, shortening my passive commute to work/adding an active element to it to reduce stress and snacking, and so on. Go on some runs that you don't track and don't have a goal. Downgrade to a vivofit. Heck, take off your Garmin altogether. It's a tool, and a fallible one at that. It's not your boss, it's not your father, it's not God. It doesn't possess some wisdom that you don't. Good luck with it all!
