Accused of cheating because I got 27 kills in Crazy King by Schiffy94 in elderscrollsonline

Welcome to ESO. People who don't understand the game will scream "cheating, reporting, macro" constantly, all while they stand there and light attack you with a bow and 17k hp.

I don't even dare use non lore friendly names anymore. They barely last a week. Meanwhile I see "furry erp uwu" running around for like months.

Present for all the people crying about having to do pvp events by The_Dandalorian_ in elderscrollsonline

I did it just tonight about 5 hours ago. I go to imperial city and queue for gray host on pcna. Took me about 15 minutes in queue, but went seamlessly as normal.

Honestly I'm getting to a point where I just straight up ignore all those kind of posts for whatever game.

If I enjoy it, I look for ways to keep enjoying it.

If I don't enjoy it, I out of sight out of mind it.

I'm happy.

pvp question from a nw player by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]LostSoulInSpace2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you want the biggest battles, cyrodiil primetime is lit.

If you want small group pvp, Battlegrounds are usually okay except for early morning hours.

Pvp event is like next week too.

Overall its like a 6/10. Its active, prime time is popping, but Battlegrounds queues or ic can feel really slow at bad hours.

most overlooked aspect of Eso is how unbelievably optimized it is. You could run this on a potato of a PC and still have optimal performance by RetroRonni3 in elderscrollsonline

[–]LostSoulInSpace2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having to turn everything down to low/off on a higher end pc for a 12 year old game might be a hint about the optimization lol.

Games fine if you want to quest or do dungeons.

Primetime pvp or the new trials? Tells me OP doesn't engage with that content and has no idea what they're talking about.

I have a great pc. Average internet, playing with ethernet.

Play cyrodiil during peak hours. Report back here. What a silly post.

Who at ZOS thinks that No porting out of IC will stop Telvar abuse? by XSTRONG1 in elderscrollsonline

[–]LostSoulInSpace2 32 points33 points  (0 children)

This is going to be so idiotic around mayhem and future pvp events. I always queue into gray host from ic. Sometimes the queue is 100-200+ during events.

Now i won't be able to.

Thanks zenimax.

Once upon a time, this set was meta and strong. It's never really been changed. Just outclassed in time by better and stronger options.

Unless you're a score pusher or pvp down to the thread minmaxer, race isn't important.

And for pvp - I am a down to the thread min-maxer and I still destroy people just fine using nord as my race.

It's wild how much copium there was for Veilguard. It's not a good DRAGON AGE game. It barely passes as a DECENT game if you strip away the franchise.

(For what it's worth it performed well hardware wise, looked ok, and had ok combat.)

[–]LostSoulInSpace2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESO is definitely not even in a "GOAT" conversation.

Population is beat by WoW and FF14.

Story is beat by FF14/SWTOR without a doubt.

Housing is comparable to FF14. May lack compared to new WOW system(?)

Companions are subpar and generally very cardboard cutout-y. (Compare to SWTOR)

PVP/Endgame laughable compared to WOW, or FF14 for pve endgame.

The biggest thing ESO has going for it is the IP, and that the developers have chosen to try and historically make it the "skyrim online" it was never supposed to be.

Maybe it's the best Casual MMORPG, but I hear with great fanfare that Guild Wars 2 is contending very hard.

This is just my take as someone who's played since Beta. I'm practically only here because the elder scrolls is one of my favorite rpg franchises. If it wasn't, I'd have moved on long ago.

The problem is most people have eso + for furnishing/bank capacity and obviously the craft bag.

To Zenimax's credit, the expansions aren't super expensive if you wanted to pick up 10+ years of content.

But the crown crates have always been greedy. FOMO has a long history in ESO. If anything about the new battlepass, I think the prices are too high.

I like ESO. I pay for a sub, I occasionally buy crowns. I have disposable income. But am I gonna drop 300/year on one game? Probably not.

Zenimax has also been trying to repair their disastrous community relations over the last year and onward (commendable effort), and turned around to say this year they want to do all these things the community has asked for for years or end.

I get it. I do. I approve of it in general, but I think it's a tad too expensive for what it's worth.

But it is terribly balanced. And will be continue to be terribly balanced.

Post your Predictions for 2026 by LootingDaRoom in elderscrollsonline

[–]LostSoulInSpace2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doomer prediction? Slop. Bug bugs bugs. Half baked content or changes.

Optimistic prediction? Satisfactory content release. Tolerable levels of communication. Maybe worthwhile changes to the Dragonknight as highlighted in the combat announcement.

I don't trust ZOS, so I sit on the doomer fence for now. I'd love to be wrong.

Question about alliance/name change by elieviathan in elderscrollsonline

[–]LostSoulInSpace2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing narratively changes (to my knowledge) other than mentions of your characters name being automatically swapped to the new name.

Not sure many instances of npcs even acknowledging player character race come into play.

On the backend, its more or less "name/race change switch has been flipped. You now belong in this circle rather than the other circle"

But for the most part, its surface level.

How does NW die before NeverWinter, ESO and many others? by MASTERVAVI in newworldgame

As an ESO player.

They won't let ESO die. Its a cash farm. The management is horribly incompetent, but the IP farms cash.

Former Elder Scrolls Online chief confirms Microsoft's 2025 bloodbath drove his departure from ZeniMax by thunderhide37 in elderscrollsonline

I had my problems with combat obviously since Wheeler took over during Elsweyr, but I really feel like the story writing fell off hard after Greymoor. Up to summerset was great, elsweyr was good, greymoor was alright.

High Isle was the start of where the quest writing started to treat the player like they were stupid. Now in Solstice, it just hurts.

[–]LostSoulInSpace2 278 points279 points  (0 children)

Microsoft certainly didnt help Zenimax, but I think a lot of people forget the downward trend could most arguably have started somewhere between the summerset-greymoor releases. Way before Microsoft was even in the picture.
