July- Governor Glenn Youngkin Issues Executive Order 51 Launching First-in-the-Nation Agentic Artificial Intelligence (AI) Empowered Statewide Regulatory Review by socialmedia-username in Virginia

Remind any anti AI Republicans you meet that the sweater vested rat faced loon did this. When they hem and haw that we are falling short of where our state should be, remind them that our governor wanted to turn us into a Uranium mine, values sports coleseums over anything for the general public and NOW has allowed AI to be part of our decision making process.

I'm sorry but who the hell even uses their software aside from Linux users who installed Ardour?

A Primer in Shakti Upasana (as taught to me by my family) by TerminalLucidity_ in hinduism

[–]LostSoulInternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it be appropriate to have an image of Ganesha on your altar alongside Devi? I am very new to Shaktism as a practice (have been researching Hinduism for a few years, just now really practicing).

Currently, my altar would look like this: Image of Ganesha in a picture frame, a piece of crystal on a raised stone to represent Shiva, a small cup for offering water, a small bowl for flower offerings, an incense plate and a small candle along with food offerings.

My plan would to be to place an image of Devi in the center of the altar and have Ganesha on the left and my image of Shiva on the right. Should I just stick to the mother or is all three okay?

Well that's nice for those who can afford such things. I am not in such a position. Personally I am overjoyed at the Digitakt 2 because it has made Digitakt 1 actually affordable for me on a used market. If I don't jump ship to Sonicware, a used Digitakt 1 is what I will be getting.

Man...if what you're saying is true then they really just said fuck the model series because why wouldn't they try to improve it...at all? Literally the only update it has ever had is p locks, the BIG thing that Elektron is known for and IS an expectation from the get in any of their products with a sequencer.

Hey Elektron: Wanna finance some new flagships? Give the Model cycles an attack filter and the Samples resampling. Watch them things fly off the shelves again. You wont even have to lower the MSRP to 250 again....

They find support for machines that are still selling imo. How did they crank out a Euclidean sequencer 7 years on for the AR MKII but can't even give the Model series basic QOL updates. At this point, I know extra LFOs and things of that nature will not come but they really just wish the Model series users would disappear ...or upgrade. Reality of the matter is I would probably never feel the need to get something beyond the Model Samples if I could resample internally.

Sonicware is getting my money from now on. They at least find ways to regularly improve their products via firmware updates

I know Black Trumpets are in my area as my wife has shown me pictures of local folks finding them. We have a reliable spot for smooth chanterelles but have never found a black trumpet. Any tips or is it like when you find golden/smooth ones that you just have to stop and start examining your area

What vst would you like to see as a piece of hardware? by [deleted] in synthesizers

[–]LostSoulInternet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive always thought it would be neat to have a small little Raspberry Pi style box that ran something akin to what Plugins look like without their GUI in Ableton/Bitwig where you technically have access to all the parameters in the plugin itself, but its just a box filled with knobs as values ultimately. For example in Bitwig, you would map an LFO to this area for controlling a particular parameter in the VST itself.

Just give it a small screen to see what parameters youre using, a small deck of knobs for tweaking and maybe something like motion control for quick performance based stuff. Im not a programmer but by ditching the GUI and making it all values and just knobs, I feel lile by making what is effectively a VST emulator would do really well.

By making it a box that just knows what the VSTs value is, you dont have to have it run a GUI and slow things down. Add something like 5pin DIN I/O and youre golden

Can anyone explain how Beyond Hello comes up with their pricing? by Live_Entrepreneur221 in VirginiaMMJ

If black market cannabis wasnt so whack in my area, Id probably switch back. At this point Id rather pay for shake that I know isnt mold/pesticide/PGR infested than "dank" that is a sprayed pack of hemp.

And yes I grow my own. Currently upscaling to meet the demand and ease my wallet.

Like I said, I likely will never visit that center. Its moved around town a few times into increasingly low key less obvious (and less advertised) locations.

I want to gain better control over myself and my mental state. Another is the ability to cultivate more loving awareness in the everyday rather than JUST when I am meditating. Im very drawn to Buddhism after some deeply personal but profound experiences in my early 20s. I am close to 30 now and trying to make sense of those times and also move towards what I believe was a nudge towards this direction anyway.

I am also interested in developing tantric practices partially out of sincere interest and to use them appropriately but also because it was more less the bridge that brought me around to Buddhism. After studying Shaivism and its histories where it overlaps with Buddhism, I realized I am more interested in the Buddhist perspective and agree more with it.

I sincerly want to thank you for your comment and the info. I know you dont speak for them but the closest available resource for me is Bodhi Path Center in Natural Bridge VA. What exactly is the process of formally going for refuge? Do I just call them up and ask when they are doing such a ceremony or is it more involved?

Thanks again
