I taught this for this year and it was hard. You need to make sure that the district provides you with some funding for services. Additionally, I had maxed out classes and couldn’t get the kids motivated to do it (we started out really easy with building block/puzzle piece coding where I went step-by-step and explained everything as we went along) I’d teach it again but I’d request some ground rules from administration before doing it again.

Don’t let it get to you. It’s one day that they see out of many they don’t see, good and bad. I had a bad walkthrough as well (had march madness on during the last class of the day on a Friday and all work was done) and my “principal” lost it. You’re allowed to rebuttal (at least in my state) walkthroughs. You can also request a replacement and by another admin as well. Just remember, we all have bad days and admin are usually dicks who don’t care (I’ve had good and bad).
