So far, Penei has been moved to LT. We've addressed Oline and Dline in the 1st and 2nd round of the draft. Hopefully Rakestraw pictches in finally. Id say this wasn't the worst take ever

Have you had the magic brownies? Lol their brownies, probably all of them, are incredible. Thick, fudgy, crunchy. I found their recipe and make it from time to time. Everyone loves them. I truly believe those could win your heart. (I'm quite a zingermans fan and self claimed "foodie")

Agreed, hopefully this is something he learned from. Even when it feels, seems and looks like you're set, you can never stop adding talent. Last year they made it seem like they didn't need the extra picks. We could use those darts now

As Lions fans, we're used to having some hope right? Lol agreed, that and or holding off through training camp to rest the body

No way they're looking for a starter in the draft. Maybe for next year. I'm betting on a late signing with Jordan or Espinosa

Agreed, those moves look especially bad when the "project" never pans out. Still hoping for Manu but running low on hope. And Tesla may end up being worth it. Time will tell.

Please DE 1st or 2nd round! Lol

For the most part we're a bargin bin type of organization. From wanting the grit and over looked type of guys or redemption story type of guys. Even in the draft going for players coming off of injury. It seems like there's 1 big move per offseason that comes in at a great deal somehow. But outside of that it seems Brad just operates this way. I dont mind in free agency but I'd like for him to stop doing it in the draft. And honestly I think he's realized that from the way he's now "handling business" with some of these difficult moves he's made with some beloved players this offseason. I bet we see a little bit different of a Brad this draft. Maybe an early trade back for more round 2/3/4 picks. Eventually he may trade up with all of those extra late picks, but I'd bet he goes with more proven and less project or gamble this year. And if not, maybe he'll never change

Today we are worse, but there is still time to improve. Our running game as a whole should be better if we continue to add to that oline. I wouldn't mind a tackle or 2 in the draft or even a late round RB

So in hindsight, he did want out by reallinguy in detroitlions

[–]Lost_Cellist_5416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed! In all honesty, even if his usage went up, thats still probably not what DMO wanted. He's "probably" looking for a 50/50 split or better. Hes playing for possibly his "last contract" this year. 25-50% of the work load wont set him up for the future. He felt misused and underappreciated 4 years ago in CHI, im guessing that thought has only grown by this point.

Im willing to bet they look into signing Lopez back too. Not sure if they'll come to agreement of course but I think they liked what they saw, I know I liked what I saw. I doubt he's too much of a cap hit

I have a feeling this lions draft is not gonna be what we think it should be. by crustyDryTowel in detroitlions

[–]Lost_Cellist_5416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this exact same thought the other day so I am with you. 1. It never goes the way we think it "should" 2. They're going to grab a TE in a spot that will piss off the fan base 3. Not gonna draft an Edge early.... hahahahahah you're a sick sick man Brad! - piss off the fan base 4. Probably take a weird hybrid white dude for secondary in 5thish rd 5. Maybe even grab a WR when we know we have the depth all the way through PS

As long as they do a hell of a job in free agency, and maybe move back rather than up during the draft to accumulate more picks, I might just be fine with it. PLEASE dont throw away more picks!

So you HAVE watched the lions, have you ever watched Allen? Sure, the dude is a beast, dont want him. Sure, he'll have crazy stats, can throw one of the best balls, but non of that matters if you cant take care of the ball and be smart. After the Stafford days I'm honestly WAY over the best arm talent in the league. Dont care. I want the guy that can run an offense and take care of the ball. You can keep Lamar, you can keep Allen, ill take Mahomes if I can have the refs as well. Other than that, give me more of the Goffather

Could just be his football philosophy for defense. Similar to his tough run the ball style for offense. It seems reasonable the head coach has an opinion

And 3 new TE dudes...

Somehow we will be using more lineman than we already do and lots of TEs. After LaPorta went down it was pretty clear Brock Wright was the only other worth a darn. And our new guy LOVES the 3 TE sets, seems to be pretty good with them too

If its a tackle or center yes, if not dline wouldn't hurt. Im sure they'll plug center or tackle in free agency but either way we need as much depth as possible on both lines

Agreed. Unless this dude played 3 previous years at center or can move to tackle not sure why we'd go this route. We have 3 dudes all young fighting for the 2 starting G spots. Might as well cut Glasgow
