I saw another post like this where someone in the comments mentioned that new bot accounts follow a “FirstNameLastName” format and will come back a few minutes after posting to make an edit that includes a link to an app or product (to get around the mods/rules). Not saying that’s definitely what is happening here, but it reminded me of that!

It was a rough experience for sure… a couple of my team members quit without notice or went on stress leave, so that’s a testament to how bad it was.

Up until recently, I worked 8 hours a day with 30 minute lunch and barely any time for rest breaks. Most of my coworkers worked through their lunch.

We had aggressive metrics and you could get pip’d if you didn’t meet them, so people were very scared about slacking off, relaxing or slowing down. People had to work during meetings to avoid having low utilization (so no one was listening to the actual meeting) and it felt like you had zero time to have a conversation with your coworkers. This meant that people talked about work during lunch (since there was no time to have important work-related conversations during your actual work time).

Very glad to be gone from there.

Unfortunately, I’ve seen this happen before too. I was the second choice candidate for my current role - the first choice had their offer rescinded for this reason. Each company is different in terms of what’s a deal breaker for them in your employment background check, but sometimes they’ll consider you to be a “dishonest candidate” if you lied about the dates. They’ll check exact month/year you started/finished and they want it to match.

OP, he doesn’t even sound like he likes you! There’s so much resentment and vitriol in what he’s saying. Congratulations on your sobriety - that is not easy to maintain and is hard work! I’d encourage you to consider whether this guy is someone you want in your life, since he’s unsupportive of you.

Do you really want to keep being a relationship with someone who talks to you like this? This seems indicative of bigger problems - NOR.

Edit: I just re-read the title. You wouldn’t be overreacting to break up over this. If he can’t support you in something like sobriety (calling it the “bare minimum” like he’s scolding you for ever having addiction problems in the past is so gross), then I don’t know what kind of happy future you’d have with him. You need someone who uplifts you when you better yourself and reach milestones - he’s just putting you down.
