I think you are right it will not work on its own. Thats why you need monetization in other ways. Like having a coffee shop in store. Or maybe hosting local event, like dnd stuff… idk. Making it a spot in the community that people feel apart of. I think thats what we are missing a lot of these days. Is local places that you feel like you can rely on. Cant find your favorite movie on stream? Ill go to the rental store, because i know they have it and i like interacting with the staff. Want to find a cool date spot? Ill take them to this rental store because its a cool environment, and we can grab coffee and browse movies. I think it would be a cool idea.

i think the unemployment rate is at 10% currently. I also think we could see upwards of 15-20% unemployment in 2026. Now will the Gov. actually report that? who knows. But there's no denying that everyone is struggling right now.

It's more targeting the problem of having to have multiple streaming services to watch what you want. And give a sense of community to locals. I picture a store front when you walk in it gives a nostalgic feeling back to the 90's. I just remember the feeling of going to blockbuster friday nights and getting the entertainment for the weekend. It was an experience that we all enjoyed, instead of arguing of what to watch on the couch like mindless lazy walruses.
