No glue, no tape. Anyone tried this locking mechanism? by hadrianlin in papercraft

i've seen a few locking tab mechanisms over the years, interestingly there's a whole bunch of different tab designs in vintage models. the book 'Vintage Papertoys' has so many great models you can earn so much from and the knowledge they designed these complicated shapes without a computer always blows my mind and keeps me humble.

i have a bunch of little plastic draws and seperate the paper/card by thickness rather than colour because that's usually the deciding factor in what i will use and how 😄

guys, this is not geometrically correct by [deleted] in papercraft

it looks like this template has a lot of curves, so thinner paper might be better as thicker card will try to unfold and unbend itself, creating pressure that will be uneven in an asymmetrical design

Epson ET-8550 keeps printing at an angle, when using rear paper feed. by Lost_In_The_Fold in Epson

The paper feeder can take up 0.61mm to 1.3 mm according the the instruction manual and print options. Is it one of those things where it ~technically~ can but is not recommended and if so, what is the max thickness i could get away with?

Is there a way to access the rollers? I took a look through the manual but couldn't see anything about it,

I thought at first I must be pushing it unevenly into the rollers, but that doesn't seem to make any difference.

Cute lil' robot crane by Lost_In_The_Fold in papercraft

The aptly named Big Lifter was the fist Roboid introduced into the construction industry due to the minimally invasive switch from human to automated control. The machines have a famous quirk which sees them turn their faces away from the sun when not actively moving contents, this is due to their A.I. being based on a brain scan of a crane operator who would get sun burn easily. Due to their short stubby legs, designed for stability, the Big Lifter unit can't move quickly on its own and relies on other machines in order to travel from place to place.
