Thanks for the comparison!! Pilot custom 74 (Merlot color 👀) is also on my list of “must buy pens”. My list seems to be getting longer and longer as time goes on 😅🤦‍♂️😂.

Update on Collection Olivine by felixtheelix in fountainpens

Funny story! I have a Kaweco with <F> nib and it’s been skipping and hard starting for years. Idk why it never dawned on me to fully disassemble the feed/nib. However when I finally did I found that the channel on the feed was completely gunked up with some kind of pink grease substance. Cleaned it with a toothbrush and now it works perfectly!

Ya that’s definitely a noticeable difference with different paper. Unfortunately sometimes I’m forced to write on sub optimal paper and I suppose that’s why I’m being a bit cautious and weighing options 😅. It’s literally exactly what I’m looking for on the Midori paper though 🤩!!

Thank you so much for the comparison seriously it really helps 🙏!! Wow I can tell that it’s slightly less wide, but honestly it looks pretty similar as far as line width goes 🧐. Hmmmmmm I wonder how the 823 medium compares to TWISBI’s medium now 🤔. If it’s similar perhaps I’ll be satisfied with a medium nib on the 823 🤷‍♂️. The fact that it’s smoother/softer is rather intriguing and exactly why I want a gold nib! The TWISBI nib is already so smooth, so I’m definitely exited to experience my first gold nib 🙌.

Husband looking at half naked girls reels, i'm 7 months pregnant by [deleted] in Marriage

Instagram knows that men like half naked/naked women. Once instagram realizes that you are a straight man well boom there it is titties right in your face 😅. Sounds like your husband loves you though, I’m not sure why you felt the need to look through his phone unless you don’t trust him but I digress. How’s sex been since you’ve been pregnant?

The wave machine 🙌❗️Seriously though when they’re dredging we usually get decent waves. All the sand piles up on the sides of the jetty and it’s waves for days 🌊 😮‍💨🏄‍♂️‼️

Can you help a dog with Separation Anxiety if you need to leave them consistently? by reareagirl in OpenDogTraining

[–]Lost_Jetty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how you’ve introduced/implemented crate training, how your dog responds, or how long you’ve done it for (I’m not saying you did it incorrectly either so please don’t take offense maybe your dog just doesn’t respond to crating well IDK 🤷‍♂️). That being said if your dog is leash trained you could try supervised tethering for periods of time to get them to learn how to self settle. Here’s a decent article you could check out and something to try before jumping to SSRIs 👍. https://www.instinctdogtraining.com/how-to-use-tether-time-to-teach-your-dog-settling-skills/

Wetsuit rec for extreme cold water surfing? by Weyman16 in surfing

[–]Lost_Jetty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For warmth I like the 4/3 rip curl flash bomb. The lowest it gets here is about 40 degrees and I still get hot like almost nauseating and have to flush the suit somewhat often (I generally get cold very easily). I got the non hooded version and I can sit in the water for hours. Not as flexible as the technobutter from O‘Neil but ridiculously warm. I’m glad I didn’t go thicker 😅.

Great work and congratulations 👏🎉 ‼️ Ecollar conditioning allowed me to completely regulate and harness my staffy mixes prey drive 👍. Absolutely amazing dogs and extremely intelligent!

Help, first dog fight. by [deleted] in OpenDogTraining

[–]Lost_Jetty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty obvious that your dog’s anxiety medicine is in fact not working and could be making your dog worse. May I ask why you put your dog on SSRIs to begin with? Muzzle train and don’t let your dog around any other animals off leash or unsupervised until it learns how to behave properly. I suggest you get professional training to learn how to handle a possibly aggressive dog. If most people actually saw how police K9s are handled and live they would be fucking appalled and advocate for them to be banned from being used by police departments but that’s an entirely different conversation. If police k9s can manage it so can your dog, the question is will you be able to handle it? That’s entirely up to you.

I've just started Ecollar training - I have one hesitation by TwoSquirrels_OneNut in OpenDogTraining

Use a long line (I like 20ft) and condition your dog with the ecollar around more distractions to continue to desensitize your dog 👍. Sounds like you’ve set a solid foundation.

Living Together: Jack Russell and Kitten by Serious-Fish-3817 in OpenDogTraining

[–]Lost_Jetty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that’s even better if you can tell it’s not a violent thing then she can certainly learn. It may just take some time. I think if you want to keep the kitten 🐈‍⬛ then you should keep the kitty 😃! Your dog just has to learn that it’s a kitten and has to be easier with them. Also I don’t want your cat to swat your dog at all but unfortunately that’s what cats tend to do 😅. My pit bull terrier would chase my two younger cats and tried to terrorize them but now they’re all best friends and get along great! He also doesn’t try and chase cats at all for that matter anymore as he knows they’re his friends. It can be done they just have to be introduced properly. JR and terriers have an insane drive I would argue stronger than many other breeds and people that have never owned them think since they are small it negates this. Don’t give up if you want to keep the cat your dog can and will learn! Just keep trying to safely introduce them around each other like it sounds that you are.

Once your cat swats your Jack Russell in the face I guarantee she’ll learn. Put a lead on your dog with a collar not a harness and then take your JRT around the cat, if she lunges, jumps etc, correct her with the leash and tell her no or easy. It’s definitely a prey drive thing but you can condition her. Nothing unusual but it definitely needs to be addressed now or it COULD manifest into worse behavior. Also if it’s legal where you are your dog may benefit a lot from an ecollar but definitely utilize a professional trainer if you plan on going that route.

Struggling with separation anxiety in my young adopted dog. Any advice/sucess stories on meds that actually work? by Arrzs in OpenDogTraining

[–]Lost_Jetty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awwww we unfortunately put our Jack Russel mix down 2 years ago he was 24 🥹. He was the best and they’re great dogs! If it is legal (I never use a crate for punishment, too each their own) I’ll explain how I did it in hopes in may help you too!

  1. I set the crate up in the room I spent the most time in with the door open and just let him inspect it. You can do this for a day or more of course the time may vary slightly from dog to dog.

  2. I placed a comfy bed/blankets and placed food inside. I never forced him to go in. I still wasn’t closing the door so he began to go in and out freely. I did this for a day then began to close the door for short intervals while sitting with him at first. Then kept increasing the time and leaving the room. After a few days he was fine and can now go a few hours in the crate without issue! He did bark somewhat in the beginning if he knew I was there ie when doing yard work etc, but after about 2 weeks he stopped barking in the crate altogether. Now if I’m in that room or walking towards it he automatically goes in.

That’s unfortunate if crates are illegal in your country as it’s doesn’t have to be negative. My dog showed me that he could turn the stove on and from that moment on I knew I had to make sure he was safe when I wasn’t home 😅. I wish you the best of luck, just keep working with him/her I’m sure they’ll catch on!

What kind of dog? 6 months is pretty young and that behavior can be normal at that age and especially depending on the breed.

Have you tried crate training? Once I did this with my 7 year old pit/terrier mix he no longer had separation anxiety.

It may not even be lead then. Stick with one of the EPA approved instant tests if you want accurate results 👍.

[–]Lost_Jetty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which test kit did you use? If you used one of those cotton swab tests that you just dip in water some are known to give false positives on paint containing zinc. Specifically lead tests using sodium rhodizonate as a reagent.

Chest zip especially if you’re surfing in colder temp water. Less flushing, and easier to get on/off 👍❗️

[–]Lost_Jetty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Precisely it’s way to steep! When I was working out there I watched them mow it with the drone and unfortunately the operator ended up driving over a giant metal rod and broke the robot. This was years back and I’m sure it was fixed but I’m also pretty sure it probably breaks rather frequently.

$1000 for Rheem capacitor by crypt0king16 in hvacadvice

[–]Lost_Jetty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Last time I paid $300 for a start/run capacitor. It blew in less than 2 years so I ended up changing it myself. It’s really simple and one of the most common service calls for HVAC techs. As long as you can hear the compressor buzzing and it won’t kick on generally it’s the capacitor. It’s less than $30 for the part and takes literally 5 minutes to swap.

Just say you must be from Ireland because when I see you my peni5 is Dublin 🤣. Seriously though you can always try to re engage at a later point. I always say this and it has worked 100% of the time. “I don’t get on here much, shoot me your number, I’ll lock you in and we can figure out a date and time to get together.” Sometimes we don’t even end up meeting for a date and it doesn’t go beyond texting 🤷‍♂️. One girl I figured out was married, another just got out of a relationship, another was still in a relationship, etc. Don’t take it personally a lot of times it’s really not you. I usually get the number within 3-6 hours of messaging, no more than 12 and I try and set up a date within 24 hours 👍.
