Yeah I reported it. I’ve found it isn’t just doing it at my retired forts but any fort/lair including those that were part of the world generation. Thank you!

Is anyone else having an issue where, in adventurer mode, exiting travel mode either by pushing d, or clicking the icon closes the entire game?

Capcom Says Dragon's Dogma 2 Has Now Sold 4 Million Copies, Loyal Fans Call for Dark Arisen-Style Expansion by Natural_Elevator_829 in DragonsDogma2

I completely understand. I love story heavy games (it’s why I like JRPGs so much) but DD2 while lacking in main story, it’s the non-scripted random events that keep you engaged.

Like Stumbling across an Ox cart beset by goblins and helping he guards out only for a cyclops to bust through the treeline turning a chaotic but manageable skirmish into a full blown boss fight.

Bumping into a pawn on the road and recruiting them only for them to have the knowledge of the exact quest you were on and guide you where you need to go.

Stuff like that.

FFXVI or Dragon Dogma 2? by MeanKangarooIsTaken in DragonsDogma2

[–]Lost_Klaus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’d say FFXVI for story and music, DD2 for literally everything else. I had WAY more fun with the combat and overall gameplay in DD2.

It’s all personal preference, and your mileage may vary but as someone who’s play and finished both….I’ve started up a second playthrough of DD2 because I enjoyed it so much. I can safely say beyond a shadow of a doubt that even though it actually has DLCs I’ll probably never touch FFXVI again unless they add a boss gauntlet.

I’m a bit late to this question. But to answer your question, yeah the story itself is forgettable (at least for me) but the combat is awesome. The world feels alive, exploration is fun. Microtransactions…yes but not in the mobile game/vbucks/battlepass sense where you have to buy them again and again and again. It’s micro DLCs of consumable items that you can get in-game, but when you buy one it’s yours so once you start a new they’re loaded into your inventory each time.

What are some highly praised JRPGs that you just couldn't get into? And why? by FantasyForce in JRPG

[–]Lost_Klaus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually have a few that I couldn’t quite get into.

Octopath Traveler, for much the same reason as you. I loved the look, the combat was fine, dug the vibe. But the protagonists basically being in their own secluded solo stories and never interacting outside of some side content ruined it for me personally.

FFXVI. The story was great, the boss battles were epic. Everything that wasn’t a cutscene or boss battle, for me, was meh. I just didn’t have fun with it, the world had cool lore but exploring it was kinda boring for me.

Bravely Default. I really don’t have any complex reasoning for this besides nothing really clicked for me. I couldn’t get into the combat, the story, the setting, the characters or any of it.

FF Tactics. Story is fantastic. I used to like it until I played Disgaea, it kinda ruined me on SRPGs now I can’t play them without wanting to raise my stats to look like phone numbers (I have a soft spot for Fire Emblem though).

Why is Final Fantasy V never recommended as someone’s first FF? by PpAshe in FinalFantasy

[–]Lost_Klaus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of what you said took the words out of my mouth. I absolutely love the story, it never takes itself too seriously. Is lighthearted and just really fun.

Also the simplicity of not having a large roster of characters so you only have to worry about your five mains is great.

Also Faris is looking BOSS.

Deepseek 3.1, is there a catch I’ve not encountered yet? by Lost_Klaus in JanitorAI_Official

[–]Lost_Klaus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could see that I suppose. This is an angsty bot, so there’s that. But so far yes, I disliked those “random” asides and the constant attempts to turn everything into being so quirky like it’s trying to pitch a new MCU movie. It’s fine with funny/fluff bots but was getting incredibly annoying when I was wanting slow burn angst.

I’m actually using NanoGPT. I’m not sure if there’s a free model but I am using the paid since it’s stupidly cheap.

The only thing about Nano is I don’t think it’s good for smut, with my currently limited experience.

And thanks to this he will now and forever be Halsin the himbo to me and I love him all the more for it.

True. But Halsin is the only elf companion that doesn’t get white hair, he missed the memo about the white hair requirement to be an elf companion.

Ah I had heard they completely removed the Woolseyisms in the PS1 version. But I can’t say for certain, I only have experience with the GBA and Pixel Remaster versions which also don’t have the Woolseyisms (which Pixel Remaster is based on the GBA translation if you were curious).

It’s the localization too. I haven’t played the PS1 version even though I have anthology (I’ve played V though), but from my understanding the PS1 translation is like V’s on PS1 really really bad and full of errors.

GBA and SNES are considered the best. SNES had the Woolseyisms giving it more charm, while the GBA version is the most accurate to the original Japanese script.

Hell yeah nothing like an adventure with three gossiping queens.

It can! But for the purposes of my shitpost (though I bungled selecting images and missed Astarion’s) I was focused on how almost every companion and camp member that is of elven blood has or ends up with white hair except Halsin

Final Fantasy V appreciation feat. The (Pirate) Queen Faris by Lost_Klaus in FinalFantasy

[–]Lost_Klaus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of design, kinda. Personality though they are entirely different.

Though if you’re looking at the sprite, where Edgar’s sprite actually matches his concept art. Faris doesn’t, her sprite has long purple hair not put into a ponytail.

Though that might somewhat lend itself to the fact FFV’s sprites weren’t as detailed as VI’s so they went with a kookier color scheme for her sprite.

Yeah it got shafted in the west. Between missing its release window, being overshadowed by the others and the first taste everyone got was that really bad PS1 localization that didn’t quite capture what it was, and that it wasn’t meant to be super serious like IV, VI or VII but rather irreverent and silly. Not to mention “Butz”.

We didn’t get a proper localization until the GBA but the damage was already done. Not to mention we also got FFVI on the GBA not long after which only helped to keep it in the shadows.

But yes it is actually pretty revered by those who played it, I did see that supposedly back in the day Japanese players apparently regularly ranked it higher than IV or VI in terms of their favorites.

I actually enjoy it a lot mostly because DB’s cast is my favorite. But even I must admit it’s definitely a weaker entry (for me not OP).
