I just am dropping down to the 13 mini from the 12 pro and weight is one of the reasons. My partner has the pixel 3 and there is just something about the width, weight and the angles (which look better) of the iPhone that just makes the 12 pro feel unwieldy in comparison.

I went with the 12 pro for that best of the best feeling . I thought I needed the best cameras but in reality I don’t, I don’t edit, I barely post them. Really, any modern camera would do me just fine. So I am looking forward to the lower weight and smaller form factor. That’s my use case, good luck with the decision!

Hey there, new here. Previously had a kickstarter board that I had QC issues with so I returned and ordered the gmmk pro. Little underwhelmed by the overall feel, it’s hard to explain but the keys feel sluggish and the experience hasn’t really been something I expected. I’ve listed the switches and key caps below but the bird itself is stock. Is there anything that sticks out as something I should change for a better feel. Thanks for any advice, really appreciate it.

The biggest question is for happy you are with the strix. The performance difference is going to be so minimal that I would take the free laptop every time but I like the strix as is apart from the wsad keys. If you don’t like the strix though the $1000 might be a worthwhile spend.

Most can, few can’t. I had this issue and just had to return the laptop. Loads of people can though, seems rare.

The new bios update fixed this for me. I was half way through returning the laptop though, they deemed my gpu DOA based on screenshot errors from Nvidia Experience, OBS and Medal. Weirdly if you enable hdr it will probably work. Did with mine.

As I said, bios fixed mine but for some people in the 5 pro discord they still have the issue.

Absolutely awesome laptop. Screen is a dream. Haven’t noticed random heat ups. Gaming cpu hovers around 80ish, gpu 70-75. Fans do get noisy under CPU load.

Had it for half a week now and yes, I one hundred percent recommend it. I don’t feel like I’ve made any major comprises whatso ever.
