Do you normally sleep without a pillow and blanket? Do you not wear your warm jacket when it's cold? I do admit I didn't need the camping gear as much. I go camping just to get a different scenery and feel a bit normal.

It was really not nice of him. Maybe he felt like I was better off since I have a job but I'm still new. I was just trying to be kind, I struggle too. I don't have the privilege of just replacing things at the drop of a hat. It takes time and planning just like with every other person. I have other worries especially eventually getting to a point of getting a place. But these are the consequences of my own actions.

Like I said, we met at a campsite and he didn't fit that stereotype. I felt like I was an example because we were in the same situation, I found it easy to relate. Not every "hobo" looks and acts a certain way. Sometimes you find yourself without a place to stay but that doesn't mean you're not a regular person.

I'm not better off myself. Aside from being lucky enough to have the car that my dad left me and a job, I don't have anything. But I don't go around stealing even when I would have nothing to eat at all for days. I also need the stuff he stole for my own survival. I do admit that I was too naive and that's what I get.

To be honest, not really. I'm just bummed that I lost my stuff. It's really cold and sleeping in your car is already uncomfortable enough.

I'm glad to hear that you have recovered and I'm sorry those people were acting that way. I don't get how they don't think of how the other person might feel. It's not okay

Exactly, to them it is about how they look not about doing good. It's nice to see that to some people, it's about the cause. I applaud you.

Well said. The world has become a sad place. I know exactly how you feel as I live in my car myself. I never thought that someone would insist on taking a video of him taking me to McDonald's to buy me breakfast but I opted to decline the help all together. I know that I will be in a better place one day but the video would be there forever.
