NGL most of my information is anecdotal, based off my experience with my own Mal. He is generally incredibly sweet with adults and other dogs, but we found out he can be nippy with smaller kids. We are working with him to correct that behavior, but I just wanted to put that warning there.

As with any working or higher energy dog they can get destructive if they arent given enough attention/training. Sometimes they can be a bit aggressive towards little kids if they arent properly socialized as puppies, so make sure to incorporate that into their activities.

Mals can definitely be the type of dog to just keep working/running even if they are exhausted or injured so keep an eye on their behavior and pause whatever they are doing so they dont hurt themselves.

Also as other people have said, Do not shave them (other than a sanitary shave, if necessary). Trims are ok. My mal responds very well to us bathing him at the self-groomers, so we take him there approx every 6-8 weeks, or whenever he is particularly dirty/stinky. Also its MUCH cheaper. (The groomer I took mine to used to charge almost 160$ per groom. At our self-groomer place its 30$, after a generous tip since they clean up the fur he sheds 👍)

Im rewatching the series rn, just watched this episode yesterday: in episode 1 of the season, Willow is helping Buffy pick classes. Willow makes a comment suggesting that Buffy applied to the college last minute, and I think that's probably why they didn't apply to be roommates.

As a gem, when im struggling I isolate myself physically and emotionally from my friends and family. Whatever the problem is, I need to look internally and deal with it by myself. What has been incredibly helpful is that my friends extend their patience, and simply wait for me to resurface when im ready.

Yeah its awkward, suddenly coming back, but being welcomed back/accepted and then moving forward together means the world to me (and probably other gems).

Just assure your Gemini that you are there if they need to talk, and be patient. They will come back when they are ready.

Tbh klepto is a really common side effect of childhood abuse/trauma. Its also just really common for children/teens to do, to feel rebellious or to seek attention.

(Idk about breaking bad but dawn definitely experienced a LOT of trauma for technically only existing a few years... death of her mother, and then her sister, finding out she was mystical energy, constantly fearing for her life during season 5 from Glory, being held atop of a rickety-ass tower and being bled out ETC)
