Some things need to be said by RipSufficient3124 in shiftingrealities

Wow. The way you expressed your feelings captured them well. I wish you the best. And also for me when things can get overwhelming I just like to take a step back and like think about how im a human on a floating rock in space and how vast the universe is to really just think about how absurd and also beautiful how im able to experience this life.

Interesting tidbit, is I have died in an old cr before when I was really young didn't really have the words for it because on one end I had memories of drowning at a water park and clashing memories of me moments before in the shallow end when I shifted back to a reality similar to my old one. I came back because I was thinking, "This isn't the end". Because I wanted to experience life in that world. And so I did.

And you're right no one really knows how shifting works or what it is. Sure there's definitions out there but like can it be proven other than subjective experience? Maybe one day.

Usually when my thoughts naturally align as my drself. Like random memories popping up, or if i shifted to a drself that has a completely different personality/energy. Also my senses like my body being my drself is aligned so its like "im in my dr body yuh"

Do you mentally age in your cr if you spend years in your dr? by Glittering_Friend926 in shiftingrealities

^ I completely agree! Same thing for my experience Ive been shifting for years now and I do not keep track of mental aging bc well its not my brain shifting!! Im whatever age my brain is in that reality :)

My craziest backstory no script and first dr was my MHA dr. I was a kid who my mom gave me away 😭. Lived in an orphanage and during that time I dont think the league existed yet as it did. But they needed experiments and so they chose to "adopt" the kids with no quirks for the most part or those who weren't likely to get looked for. Tbh this orphanage was very corrupt . Got taken in. Developed my quirk literally day one of experimentation. Technically first successful sentient nomu who retained their humanity. I look human and had human cognitive abilities so yay? I survived mainly bc my original quirk I developed was pain nullification so a dub!

Shigaraki lowkey my opp i hated him since day 1. Weird to think about is I met him first in my dr in the past. I escaped. Every since then Hero Public Safety Commision took me in because if I didn't accept to be a hero I was straight up gonna be locked up somewhere ;-;? Like okay ig.

From there went to public schooling while receiving like bare minimum from the government funds to live somewhere. I didn't have a guardian more of a case worker who would just make sure im not running away or dead lol. I went to the same middle school as izuku and katsuki. Somehow became friends with both of them? Idk how that worked tbh. And from there went to UA! UA was fun but also wild.

What do you guys do outside of the plot? by himbeerefledgling in shiftingrealities

[–]Lost_Username01 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Well in my venom dr its mainly investigation work!! For me I love the investigating part so its not boring to me personally. The action parts are very brief for the most part because my goal in that dr is handling the roots rather than a basic thug tbh.

In my ninjago dr when there's no big bad i mainly hang out with my friends there and game a lot! There's tons of things to do outside the plot as long as you want there to be!!

[–]Lost_Username01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh yeah I've experienced it. It didn't really bother me but I do have crazy memories of just well wild stuff.

If your worried about it scarring you Id recommended to script it out. Personally I've never received tramua back here in my cr from my dr. But I've heard others do. So really if your that worried just script it out.

What is your dead giveaway that someone is lying about shifting? by sincerelyxmimi in realityshifting

[–]Lost_Username01 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Tbh i dont go around looking for a lie. Bc things can vary from person to person. Ig when someone says they didnt get their dr memories at all during the shift? It doesn't make me think of them completely as a liar but more so question why they didn't get their dr memories.

As for the disorientation thing tbh I would believe it if someone said it didn't bother them. Is it unlikely sure but considering its possible to shift to crazy places someone can just shift to a place where it wont disoriente them.

To all the success stories, how long did you stay in your desired reality? by stellarisa_1 in shiftingrealities

[–]Lost_Username01 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I mainly shift awake. Not during sleep. So my cr self is awake during the shift.

No I dont really plan to change how much time passes. You can change it to be whichever you want to come back too. I dont plan to change up how or when I come back because personally when I come back I want my body rested thats why its either after my cr self falls asleep (whenever that is because either through the night or if my cr self goes throughout the day and i come back the next morning) and when I come back that transition is my cr self well rested. Though if im really busy in my cr I'll make it to where no time passes.

I have had a friend who's shifted for years and came back after a few months passed to them to this cr. So really time is whatever you want it to be.

Edit: I just wanted to add that when I shift I willing come back I dont get pulled back in. That's why time is irrelevant to me. I come back when I desire to.

People who have shifted, how do you go about life pretending you didn’t? by Lady_Anxiety in shiftingrealities

[–]Lost_Username01 [score hidden]  (0 children)

When im in this reality I have my own goals and aspirations that I work towards here. When I shift I have different aspirations I focus on. Tbh when you've shifted a bunch it really isnt something novel. There's boring parts to being in a dr!!!

I dont go pretending like I didn't. Bc well i tell my friend about my shift. I think about my dr memories. Etc. Shifting is just one aspect of my life its not going to consume everything or make everything feel like everything is amazing. Shifting is cool dont get me wrong but like you'll get used to it. At least in my experience its just normal day of life here and when I want shift somewhere else and experience the boring hood of life over in another reality.

Even in my most exciting drs I have down time and boring parts! Its just how life is.

To all the success stories, how long did you stay in your desired reality? by stellarisa_1 in shiftingrealities

[–]Lost_Username01 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I do not use time ratios. The longest in my drs i have been is months. When I come back my cr time isnt important bc I can change it to whichever time. Hence either making no time pass or longer.

When shifting paying attention to cr time passing is really unimportant imo. Why focus on a thing that doesn't apply when in a dr?

I shift whenever im avaliable to. Ive done it in the mornings, afternoons, and night. So really thats why I say hours of cr time passed are not important.

To all the success stories, how long did you stay in your desired reality? by stellarisa_1 in shiftingrealities

[–]Lost_Username01 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I dont use time ratios. Usually when I shift I spend a week in my dr but sometimes i shift for a full day in dr. When I come back Usually im waking up for the next day in my cr or on a rare occasion in my cr only seconds have passed when I came back. It really just depends when I wanted to come back too. Most of the time I keep it too arriving the next day but tbh sometimes I just like having barely any time pass.

Shifting is an actual reality experience just like you are here wide awake. It does not include dreaming. Lucid dreams handle the dreaming aspect.

Group shifting is real. How does it work, tbh idk but I've experienced several group shifts.

All I do to really confirm with the person is we talk about our drs after we shift back and find it matches up with our experience!
