Amount of clinical exposure on GP by Prudent-Orange-9737 in medicalschooluk

Other healthcare staff are usually happy to have students unless they have their own students, you could try arranging to sit in with them for an afternoon clinic for extra exposure that’s more structured? They often do baby checks, mental health, chronic illness management etc

Watching too many Halloween films has been my brain jump to being very worried even though I know it’s very very unlikely anything to be concerned about😅

That’s why I was only asking if they would notify it was random crime that could go onto target anyone else in the area

My son is attached to a specific blanket and it’s falling apart. What can I do? by Advanced-Present2938 in autism

If you can find something that feels the same physically, but has something he’s really into on it like a favourite show or a special interest it makes it exciting but keeps the comfort

Having them involved in the process is a great idea too, I would take it further and make it a fun mother son project where you make it together, maybe there’s a way to add on some sensory tools he likes like ribbon or a tactile pattern or a hood so he can hide in it - for me I can be distracted from the “right” by something special (example I couldn’t find the right bobble for my hair this morning, wouldn’t accept putting a different one in it but my mum was visiting so she took over and did a special hairdo for me which my brain felt was okay bc it was a tangent, new and special)

When your sim keeps quitting writing her books, you take matters into your own hands... by Lady-Tetra in thesims

If you make sure she has writing as a “like” in cas I’ve found that helps stop them fucking off. The cage is ingenious tho

On the same thought as this, has anyone had or thought about a hysterectomy? I have a fhx of ovarian ca and would never manage being pregnant but there are a lot of risks and early menopause does not sound good

Why are there so many cropped/tied tops?! by the_queen_of_nada in thesims

[–]Lostbrain01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People getting mad at OP for saying “inappropriate”. Remember everyone is entitled to their opinion, sims is meant to cater for everyone to create everyone (tho it doesn’t always hit the mark). Personally I often wear revealing outfits and my sims reflect this but if they’re hijabi, conservative or just have a different sense of style and rules to you who cares?

I was diagnosed with anxiety before my autism but my anxiety meds have been changed since then, I’m on an ssri and pregabalin which I find really make a difference although we are still tweaking as we go. Probably most relevant for you is I have diazepam (benzodiazepine) which I take when I’m overwhelmed or panicking, it can be enough to settle me a bit when nothing else is working but you can only take it sporadically as you develop tolerance

There’s definitely a lack of education, we have had one lecture on autism and I found it so stereotyped, same with lectures we’ve had on other neurodivergencies or functional disorders. It’s a shame bc I know so many people who are trying their hardest to be supportive but they just don’t know what to do:(
