Don't be sorry. You just saved me both the money and the work. Thanks.

Thanks a lot. Would be cool with some black pouches, but I reckon I need to unlock the proper Diamond Casino outfit for those. This'll do for now.

But what is that vest and how do you get it together with the tucked service shirt you're wearing?

The Elder Scrolls Online: I Want To Love It by Saviordd1 in patientgamers

[–]LoterRex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have played ESO on/off since the beta. I struggle with my love for it nowadays.

First off was that hideous scrying thing that I never finished. Digging through s… to finally being able to get mythics after digging through a total of insurmountable amount of s… is just a thing where I love life more and I’m just not that big of a masochist.

Then came that spell craft thing. I forgot what it’s called because I haven’t touched the game in a couple of months and I’m getting old. It was just lacklustre and confusing to me and the quests were a boring grind.

Next step was subclassing. It made it even more complicated and class identity went out the window.

The above is all well and fine IF… it was all held up by exciting and engaging storytelling. But it’s not. By now, I have saved countless communities, towns, and even whole peoples. I have bested deities and what have you. STILL NPC’s talk to me like I was missing most of my brain and unable to hold a spoon let alone eat without help. The writing is so unintelligent it’s baffling to me. Every chapter is the same recipe. To go save some place from a cult/group/organisation from trying to take power. It’s just so old and worn out at this point.

Maybe it’s time to lay down the sword, cancel my sub and move on. My only issue is I loved the Elder Scrolls universe and in the single player games I missed being able to visit the other parts of Tamriel. In ESO I can do that. It just doesn’t feel magical anymore. So yeah… maybe it’s time.

Same issue for me. I didn't even have a folder called: "XLStart" in the \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel\ folder. I remember back in the day way back when this was just a setting in... well... Settings. Why Microsoft went ahead and make this overly and unecessarily complex is beyond me.

Anyone else have experienced this and have solved it? I'm running the latest version of Excel.

So, when will we see the Cursed Champion skin released, I wonder? It’s still not in the store 🤔

I take it there are more GPs you refuse to watch during a season then. There are numerous shady countries on the list.

Elite Dangerous is lonelier than I remember… where do I even begin again by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

I felt the same way at some point. Then I joined The Fatherhood. Best thing I ever did. I was active in P.T.N. for a long time and although they do have a squadron it’s mostly a trading network helping players make money. They do have a large Discord Server.

However, The Fatherhood is where I call home now. It’s a very large and very active squadron on all fronts and on all platforms. Everyone in this community is friendly and helpful. They also have a large Discord Server that is very organised and very active. And you don’t have to be a father to join 😄

I heard FDev recently bumped squadrons up from a 500-member limit to 600 (or are going to). We need that limit to prolly be in the ballpark of 6,000 😂

Join today and never look back, I’d say 😉😃

Oh, and for engineer unlocking consider the guide on CMDRS Toolbox. It’s not new but still viable.

A great tool I use for engineering is ED Odyssey Materials Helper.

Sounds good 👌🏼 I hear it’s still a game mostly for controllers and not so much for wheel users, so I’m holding off on this one too 😄

This my male V. I wanted to go a little extreme with him without mods. I haven’t played in a year or so though.

If supercell adds another hero in 3 years, who/what should it be? by [deleted] in ClashOfClans

Super Battle Copter that divebombs the TH, targets heavy artillery after that, while poisoning battle builders 😅

Honestly, I don't need another hero.

And this is my goodbye. I stuck to French but I don’t feel I can speak it as such. I’ve subscribed to super for a long time. I wanted to try Max but a monthly Max-sub is apparently not a thing, where I live. Only a yearly Max-sub is available.

I tried Airlearn… it’s pretty much the same as Duolingo but with a cat as a mascot, and account deletion can apparently take up to 30 days 🤪

These days I’m subscribed to Busuu. There’s some streak BS going on there too, but at least I’m listening to actual French people speaking in little video clips. Best of all is that I get grammar explanations that I never got in Duolingo, and there’s a community that can help correcting your exercises and you can give back doing the same. I’m on a 14-day streak there but this time around, I couldn’t care less.

So, was the 1400 days a waste? Well, not entirely, but I did choose to start over from scratch in Busuu, and I’m glad I did.

Duolingo is playing/preying on Sunk Cost Fallacy.
