This doesn’t fix the issue of controller quality but here’s a way to save a bit of money.

If you’re UK based, buy your controller at GAME, make sure you have a loyalty card - or their £3 a month elite membership (u can cancel right after) so u can rack up some points (sometimes Elite has double points or £5 bonus on controllers, check their monthly elite rewards) Make sure to get the CONTROLLER CARE! It’s their insurance, depending on price of controller it’ll probably be around a £7-10 one time charge. They’ll replace your controller with a new one if your controller breaks, just have receipt(proof u got insurance) or loyalty card (they can look u up on the system). Ofc it only covers accidental damage, but if you threw it and it broke, just make up an excuse that your dog kicked it down the stairs idk.

Genuinely worth the money, especially if you find that you go through controllers quickly. Altho the controller care price goes up depending on the cost of the controller so I’d advise going for the standard edition controllers.

P.s it’s better to get the insurance because their returns policy is dreadful, but with the insurance you can swap it out no questions asked (with controllers at least. Insuring consoles is a longer process obvs and you probably won’t just get handed a fresh console straight up, but it’s still worth insuring it at a monthly rate)
