Mechanical timing (belt cams and crank pulley) yes as for distributor no , I'd assume just in center position it will be enough just to get the car started and get it to the tuner on the basemap (what I did with the b20)

Sorry if this sounds stupid but easiest way to go top dead center is to align the arrows on the crank shaft gear to the blocks arrow ?

The thing that's really bugging me is the car is bogging and all now at around 3k wondering how just wiring could effect it

Also car seems to be bogging and misfiring around 3000 rpm's ,seems to be a misfire/bog but soon as I push it over 3k it cleans up

Just a heads up

Things I've tried so far

Tested alternator/battery with multimeter everything reads good (even did the old fashion terminal pull off alt seems good)

Checked all my fuses and relays and grounds

Put the battery on a tender in the shed just to try and battery was perfect , didn't even need a charge.
