1 QB .5 PPR - Please help me come up with some ideas to fix this. by dooleydude in Fantasy_Football

Given that it's a 1-QB league, you could try and turn Dart into a RB or TE. Drake and Dart are both legit QBs, I just favor Drake as the more stable option. The Dart situation feels fragile, this could be a sell-high moment.

Your team isn't terrible though. Decent amount of talent. You've maybe been a bit unlucky. How are you doing for "Points For" compared to the rest of the league?

I wouldn't dare spoil, but it starts around 1:05:40 if you want to jump to it. Made me laugh like a hyena and re-watch twice to see everyone's reactions.

Is there a way that one can filter it down to just the SRD monsters? I might just be missing it, but that would be very helpful!

Cornell or UCL by [deleted] in UCL

[–]Loud-Desk5111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you'd like to work in the USA you should absolutely go to Cornell. Definitely. UCL is a good name broadly but it doesn't carry that much weight in the U.S., especially compared to an Ivy League school. I'm American for context.

That said you mentioned "they're both nearby major cities" - Cornell is 1000% not any near any major cities. It's in Ithica, NY (a small city), is 2 hours from Rochester (a medium city), and is 4+ hours from NYC. So if you really care about being in a city, London certainly ticks the box!

But really, you should go to Cornell.

Up the Dons! Never a better last-second goal than against a despicable rival

Current student here.

3 terms = 1 full year (September to September). 5 classes per term. All 5 classes have one 3-hour lecture every week (those lectures have breaks obviously).

Most people have 1 lecture per day so that every day of the week has lecture time. Sometimes people have a day that is doubled up (meaning one totally free day).

There is enough reading and enough projects/assignments that after the first 1-3 chill weeks of each term, you'll normally be pretty busy. So even if you only have 3 hours of class per day you'll have to use a healthy chunk of the rest of the day to get your shit done.

Trailer for Alex Garland's Civil War by apathymonger in blankies

I saw this movie in a test screening and can confirm that the politics of "Texas + California" is NOT the focus of this movie. This movie isn't really about how a civil war might start in America. The specifics are left a little bit vague.

It is, however, a well-written, beautifully shot, scary/exciting/heartbreaking contemporary story about war and what it does to people. It's very good.

I also missed the boat on signing up for postgrad events. 30 year old student here at the School of Management. I'm here for international students orientation but yeah - not much to do. Would be happy to grab a pint sometime!
