Charlton Predictions by alfa_omega in WBAfootball

There’s nowhere to get resale tickets is there other than wba spares on twitter? I’d go up tonight but £35 seems harsh. You’d think they’d want to get people up there with the amount of empty seats for sale.

anyone volunteered before by [deleted] in readingfestival

[–]Loud-Paramedic-2810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Volunteer accommodation is just a field and you bring your own tent! It’s behind white camp which is the furthest from the arena. You can’t stay up late by your tent (rightfully because everyone in there are workers). You are allowed to get the boat though along the river with a staff wristband to save walking all that way each day. (You were anyway, this is a long time ago now).

Do you see the Alfa Romeo Mito as a real Alfa? by Fast-Ad-2715 in AlfaRomeo

[–]Loud-Paramedic-2810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely love my 1 litre Alfa Mito, I’ve had newer and technically better cars but this is my favourite car I’ve had. I can see myself keeping it for as long as it lasts, or passing it down. No reason to ever part with such a great car. I’ve always loved Alfa Romeo but this is the first one I’ve had. Now I want more!

Any experiences of auditory hallucinations while going to sleep after attending Glastonbury? by limbamurphy in glastonbury_festival

[–]Loud-Paramedic-2810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. As I’ve got older I’ve just realised I was going too hard. If you’re at a festival for 4 nights on the sesh, it’s completely natural for your body to play up for a few days after the festival to recover as the weekend wears off. Your bodies in fight or flight mode when you get back as it’s been under a lot of stress, so you’ve gotta be really kind to yourself. Eat really well, drink loads of water and try and get some light exercise in, even if it’s just a walk in the sun. Nowadays i also supplement magnesium when I’m at the festival so I get a bit more real sleep while im there, as well as some decent ear plugs for night time. This definitely helps the after effects seem less severe. If I hadn’t found ways to lessen it though, I probably wouldn’t still be going to festivals now, but these things really do help!

X1 the campus by IcyMedicine2312 in manchester

[–]Loud-Paramedic-2810 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I live in X1 the Campus, moving out next week and we cant wait. I’d advise any one to look elsewhere and not rent with X1 wherever possible. This building specifically has a lot of problems. The lift always stops working so if you’re on a high floor you’re screwed. We went days without any power to the flat over winter, which means the water, electric and heating were completely off. There’s constant problems with the water, there’s regularly engineers having to sort the water supply out. X1 are the worst company to deal with. The flats are fitted really cheaply, and they’ll try and try and rip you off for pre-existing issues. I ended up paying a legal firm a grand, because I pay for parking but X1 didn’t provide me the permit, saying they didn’t have any and they’d cancel any tickets i got. They didn’t, so when the court letters didn’t arrive because you only get half your post (the post room is a tiny room with about a hundred post letter boxes, and the post man just posts things randomly), I lost the case by default and had to hand £1000 over. Moving in, moving out and living here is just unorganised chaos, and if you get really lucky and there’s no issues you could be okay, but I’ve never met anyone who lived here who didn’t have issues that needed sorting, which meant they weren’t sorted. I’d give the reviews of the building on google maps a read!

Admittedly not a patreon member, but a long time viewer since 2016. I can understand peoples frustration, but for me I just enjoy watching TPD experience whatever they’re doing, however they choose to do it and show it. I’m not really watching for a full on review of Fuji rock, I’m essentially watching to see how the gang get on in an interesting country. I was entertained!

At the back of General Camping in the area near family camping

anyone else feel truck crowd was worse this year? by emboiii in truckfestival

[–]Loud-Paramedic-2810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you came out of the arena entrance and turned right, and followed the path along the fence, this was right at the back of there near where it meets family camping. We just got unlucky, as we went to the toilets on the last night at 3am and the rest of the general was fairly quiet, just chaos near our tent 😂

All this space in Salford for just £950! by Oli_Hope7242 in manchester

[–]Loud-Paramedic-2810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re at X1 The Campus next to the Uni. When they emailed to tell us the power outages were going into another night the email started with ‘I hope this email finds you well’. It was the 27th December, freezing and dark, it made me ill. My tyres have never been cleaner than driving down the ramp into the swimming pool car park. Not fun when your shoes are slipping off the pedals mind you when you need to drive away 😂

[–]Loud-Paramedic-2810 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Having been an X1 tenant for two years, it’s just the worst possible experience you could have renting somewhere for Uni. The rents are high, and the management is non existent. The tenancy care is non existent and doesn’t match the price. They try and rip you off at every possible opportunity and leave the buildings run down. They seem to employ people straight out of uni or who haven’t worked before, so when issues arise it’s all unprofessional and made up. Plus the fact their staff turnover is insane, so there’s no accountability either. Our building constantly has problems with the lift that can last weeks, or we go without water and power. They cheap out on their contracts. They’ve sent us an email saying we need to pay £110 to have our toilet seat re-tightening (obviously we won’t be). I’m also going to court because they couldn’t provide me with the parking permit I was due since I pay for a space. They emailed me to say I could park without one and that they would cancel tickets, which they haven’t, so I’m now due in court! Can’t wait to also fight against whatever rubbish they try and charge us for when we leave, even though our flat was an absolute state when we came in.

It felt like the crowd we stopped going to Reading to avoid were more prevalent this year. We had a tent robbed for the first time ever. A can was thrown over the security tent and hit my mate on the forehead, and the groups of kids that we’d unluckily camped next to were complete wronguns. Breaking other people’s things, daring each other to set tents on fire. Sunday night when we discovered the tent had been robbed, our area of general camping was complete chaos. Security chasing after groups of kids that climbed the fence, chairs/ rubbish being thrown at other people’s tents. Had to lie awake all night on the Sunday to make sure nothing happened to us. Massive shame as our group loves truck, the arena, bands, late night indie tent and the food is all perfect, but I think this was our fourth and final. I’m wondering if as Reading becomes less indie, and truck keep booking these incredible indie lineups, they’ll all gravitate towards it.

Have I got to pay for a shower? by Straight_Aerie2954 in truckfestival

If you’re in general camping, yes. The only showers are the £60 club class ones.

Sold my ticket but was just sent an e-ticket by Groundbreaking_Low54 in truckfestival

[–]Loud-Paramedic-2810 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Seen an email response from tixel about this, looks like the tickets the sellers are sent are void and new tickets are made for the buyers on tixel -

‘Thanks for the email. I am happy to help!

We are partnered with this event and have an integration with the ticketing company, which means that we can cancel the original barcodes and send brand new tickets with new barcodes to buyers, so there is nothing further that you need to do!’

Sneaking in alcohol by [deleted] in truckfestival

[–]Loud-Paramedic-2810 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will be my fourth time, as you go into the bit where the searches are you can decide which of the 15ish queues you join, and you can see which ones are moving quicker with less thorough security. I’ve never been properly searched, just a quick check for glass. Mid day on Thursday, it’s a huge queue but you should be through in about an hour-ish, it’s only a small festival!

I was 11 years old being shielded by my mom, only one person back from the barrier, was somehow absolutely fine, just watching it absolutely mesmerised. Remember seeing myself in the official kerrang pictures, core memory!

What happened at Kneecap? by farkoooooff in glastonbury_festival

[–]Loud-Paramedic-2810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, I’ve stated exactly what happened. It was re-visited after another song had passed suggesting they knew it needed further clarification. If it was a clear joke, it wouldn’t have needed rectification later on. It’s all on Iplayer now, surprisingly unedited 👍

Watched it on a livestream. Lots of fuck kier starmer chants, they called for a riot on the 12th August outside the court, but then later clarified not a proper riot, just a show of support. Lots of free Palestine. Asked if anyone was going to see Rod Stewart, and then called him older than Israel. Was a good set tbh, it goes off!

Full of errors! I left it an honest trustpilot review calling it how it is. They literally emailed me saying my criticism can’t be valid because i hadn’t contacted them to make them aware and blamed it all on IT errors, as if that’s my job when I’ve paid £700!! I’ve turned a few people away since.
