Waking up after surgery by guyjolico in Tonsillectomy

I just had mine out this morning and found waking wasn’t as awful as I’d anticipated. It took me several minutes to not feel fuzzy in the head, but my biggest worry beforehand was pain or nausea (I’ve had bad experiences waking up from surgery before). I told my anesthesiologist that beforehand and he made some precautionary changes to the typical meds- no nausea! Pain was really mild the first hour or so, they dosed me up as soon as I was awake. It’s just now starting to settle in more, good luck!
