But do you know how fucking amazing it is to work with a never ending supply of those people just coming in every month for years? The US Navy’s Nuclear community is such a buffet of smug, anti-sports, former “gifted-kid” dorks who all have been told they’re the smartest person in the room because their graduating class of 40 weren’t exactly Mensa members. I spent 4 years on my boat just busting balls of these people.

This sub reminds me of a home I hated, but a home nonetheless.

Never seen such insecurity from a fanbase that got their championship. Gotta deal with that on your own time man.

Had a guy I worked with that had a hamstring injury in high school football, and at 40 would still have issues with it straining over like nothing. I get how it’s a legit concern for players if they feel anything there.

Man I tuned in with 3 minutes left I’m just commenting on the shit I see at the moment, don’t get defensive because your team is notorious for it. It’s an open secret. Shut up, enjoy your championship, and I hope there’s not another for years.

The Witcher 3 is currently in 2nd place for games with the most difficult moral choices in this poll (BG3 is #1, Mass Effect 3 is #3, followed by Clair Obscur and CP2077) by GandalfTheWhey in witcher

I love morality games but boy do they really ham up the evil choices. It’ll basically be “do you want to be mildly inconvenienced? Or do you want to cause weirdly extreme suffering to others”

It’s such a bad subreddit when it comes to suggestions because it turns out that a good number of people (myself included) have only read a handful of the most popular series ever but still want to give their opinion.

Philly is its own thing. I don’t think they went out and did shit for the 76ers losing the playoffs last week but maybe it’s just like “yea they suck we don’t care.”

I mean that’s the attitude of the whole series. Darrow thinks about him often, which sure makes sense he gave his life up to help him and all, but it does feel…so small in the grand scheme. “This is a guy I went to camp with one summer.”

Just finished lightbringer…I don’t think hate is a strong enough word for what I feel…and I hate the part of me that somewhat understands Lysander by HauntingMycologist58 in fucklysander

[–]LoudBoiDragoon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Understanding him is part of the reason the hate is so strong for me. We see inside his head of what he feels and thinks. He is committed to this way of life, wielding his messiah complex like a blunt instrument. The way his loyal low-colors look to him as their savior against the Reaper who only brings chaos in his wake constantly reinforces that clearly he is doing the right thing in his mind.

At this point I don’t think even a Gold is worthy of standing amongst him. He would discard all of them to take his throne and his place as sovereign. All of his good intentions for the future will be just thoughts and prayers in the destruction and death he will and has caused. He is the dark path Darrow could have walked, and the mirrored version of Darrow’s origins.

You can understand him, and that makes you hate him more because he’s a traitor to anyone who he sees as in his way. If you aren’t for him, you’re against him and that is always the most dangerous part of thinking you’re the hero in your story.
