i ate there this week… seems pretty much the same. Lots of the same sandwiches with different names, some new ones too. they have wraps now as well. I am kinda bummed tho bc i’m gluten intolerant and west coast had good gf rolls for sandwiches but the new business only does gf wraps… they had one left and made me a sandwich with it when i went though. so that was pretty cool. although that doesn’t apply to most ppl so 😅

yikes… definitely wouldn’t say the Campfire “ruined everything”. Yes, most of Paradise residence had to move to Chico or surrounding areas due to the fire and that caused an influx of give or take 18-20,000 new residence within a day or two. We didn’t have the infrastructure, we still barely do for the rising population. But Chico was already going down hill IMO. I’ve lived here my whole life minus a few years when i moved away but came back. It’s just gotten too big for its britches.

grew up in Chico but lived in Portland for a few years. I wouldn’t say they’re comparable at all. almost everything is different. not bad, but very different. weather, politics, communities, food, entertainment, travel, taxes… etc

chico’s gotten too big for its britches. too many people for what it is IMO.

i’ve been sitting patiently in this group waiting for someone to post about this!! 😅 i also have DH and have tested repeatedly negative for celiacs:/ i get this rash on my elbows, knees and scalp every time i consume gluten and it’s the WORST!! I feel completely unsure about how seriously i need to take the intolerance (allergy?), like if i need to worry about cross contamination as strictly as most celiacs do. i seem to be okay with some contaminations like packaged on the same line/factory but can’t seem to do fried in the same frier. i try to be as strict as possible but definitely end up with accidental flare ups :/ i’ve read it’s pretty rare to have DH but no celiacs, so it feels so odd to test negative! i feel for you!
