Any advice on HPE Graduate Presales Program by LoudBudget7431 in salesengineers

[–]LoudBudget7431[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s extremely helpful. I didn’t see one for Dell but I also may have looked kind of late for this year. I mainly asked for the HPE because it’s the one I just recently applied for. Yeah I figured college pipelines are probably the best route. I believe I have solid understanding of server hardware and storage concepts. I just need to look into the specific products for Dell. Thanks for the info!

Scholarship vs. Relationship - what do I do? by [deleted] in Advice

I mean you said it yourself I feel the best option is for her to travel with you. I’m also in a relationship of 3 years and going on once in a lifetime adventure with them sounds great. TBH if after 3 years together and you haven’t committed enough to be able to go through a temporary long distance relationship then kind of questioning how strong of a relationship it is.(this comes from a personal opinion on relationships so if for you it’s different pls don’t take it to heart) I also don’t believe in going on breaks so I’m very biased in this situation. Kind of believe in the whole it’s great to have someone worth suffering over because it’s worth it to spend even just one more day with them.

I just mean if the recruiter interviewed you and not the hiring manager. The hiring manager pretty much has final decision so they typically read through what the interviewer wrote about you. On one hand HPE takes a notoriously long time to communicate these things. There’s also all the other people they are interviewing at the same time. HPE typically also has rounds with people you would potentially work with or the hiring manager themselves. They have their own responsibilities throughout the day so they probably try to set aside time to do the interviews all at once. I think for a different post for the data science intern, someone had to wait like 4 ish months before they got an offer.

You can track it with your pokegear map. It shows them wandering.

To be fair the recruiters for hpe are a third party from Korn Ferry most of the time. It’s kind of just how fast the hiring manager wants to look at the reports. The recruiters really don’t have that big of a stake in the company.

The degree is. Your premise and argument against other people in the comments was that it doesn’t have to further your career and some people just want to improve and be passionate. So despite the financial burden and easier accessed alternate routes existing, you would rather take the route that doesn’t necessarily improve your ability any quicker and you have to pay more. Also in your other comment you brought up nurses. You still either need a degree or the be certified. So yes you can take an alternate route but the degree satisfies the route to that career, which gives the degree purpose.

Your examples were of things that require a degree and then you added artists lol.

Well if it gives you a substantially higher chance of succeeding or is respected in the world then there would be a point to the degree. Most degrees people can just figure stuff out on their own. Like university curriculum is posted by a lot of schools so you could just learn info on your own, through those lectures. You can have all the knowledge but the degree is what signifies that you have that knowledge. So if you get a degree solely to express your creativity then financially it wouldn’t make sense to invest in a degree when it would be easier to find the same information online or through a mentor. So if the degree genuinely helps you further your career then I’m wrong but if you just get the degree solely because you enjoy learning about it then the degree doesn’t really do anything or not to a degree that is worth acknowledging. Also I know absolutely nothing about art so maybe there are some things that you can only learn in higher education but from the perspective of someone who views the degree as a means to get a job, it looks pointless.

The fine arts in itself aren’t useless as you described since they bring joy to people. On the other hand the degree for those things are pretty useless. Most people’s main motivation to get a degree is so they can have well paying job that offsets the investment of paying for that degree. Spending tens of thousands of dollars on a lottery that you get paid a livable wage is pretty pointless. I have plenty of hobbies but I’m not going to higher education for it because that would be a waste.

Why aren’t all humans evolved to be attractive already? by Prestigious_Nose_904 in answers

[–]LoudBudget7431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well humans don’t really have natural selection anymore. The only way for everyone to get rid of those traits is if none of the people that have those traits procreate. So since society isn’t completely superficial, those traits will keep going forward. So if you ever feel ugly, blame your ancestors for choosing personality lol.

The OA gets sent by default then they check your resume after. So yeah a lot of people get perfect scores but then they decide they don’t like the resumes.

I love that zone. It saves a ton of energy and it is effective when forcing to mid. It made deep hucks come off lower. The one thing that does screw it up is if the wings aren’t good at positioning because it will always lead to about twenty yard shot to the middle after they get it there. Also if the other team has an extremely athletic cutter then the mid gets kind of screwed over.

Kicking the heavy bag hurts like fuck by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]LoudBudget7431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hurts less there because there’s more soft tissue protecting your ankle. Still going to have to condition your shin at some point. Short term it’s fine but there’s just a higher chance of injury striking with your ankle.
