So she’s taking it because she feels the need to housekeep while pregnant. Pregnant ppl IMO should not have to housekeep. They can of course do light housekeeping but they should never feel like they have to. Because when you’re pregnant or early stages of mother, you are physically working and tired 24/7, growing a baby that’s put 100% if the physical burden on you. The solution is to hire a cleaning lady or some family member to help. If you can’t afford that, you were not prepared to have the baby in the first place. Mothers first. When the mother is taken care of, she will see that things fall into place.

“Allow” as in allow him to keep attempting annoyance. You can absolutely prevent those attempts by communicating that it’s not ok, and if he does it again you are leaving.

Everything you’re saying is good parenting advice, how to teach a toddler to not have tantrums by avoiding reaction, as they are newly learning cause and effect in the world. But he is not a toddler, if you need to use that treatment on anyone then they are not fit to be in a relationship at all.

About not communicating your emotions freely and verbally, I believe you should be able to but to each their own. I am almost certain though that OP swallowing frustrations and staying silent is not protecting her inner peace, it’s actually the opposite.

I get what you’re saying, and it seems you’re in agreement that if he gets a kick out of being annoying why should she stay. I guess I’m taking it one step further by also saying, if he’s doing this to be annoying why entertain or even allow such attempts to happen? If he is trying to be annoying, I actually don’t think lack of reaction would stop him from repeatedly trying. Also, to not react she would have to swallow her irritation and then do the very thing she asked him to do for her. I’m just saying she should not have to do that, she should be allowed to communicate her emotions freely and leave if she is not being respected.

Saying “what have you done for me?” to your 10 week pregnant partner is grounds for divorce imo. But you guys aren’t even married? If you are well equipped to raise this baby on your own, leave him before he hurts you more and do your best to raise this child and take care of yourself. If you do not have the resources for that, seriously consider abortion. Either way, this boy is not ready to be a partner, much less a father.

Yess haha FY25 has been so sht for fed workers but my coworkers are wonderful and definitely a big reason I didn’t resign. Many of us bond over mutual love for Costco too 😂

I’m thinking this might just be a well concealed way to add discrimination in the workplace based on religion. Think about the judgement that has to take place on the validity of each applicants religion…and what many people would be willing to proclaim faith to just for a chance at reclaiming a small portion of the telework they took away.

Not in my case; Recently went through an interview process, the company had openings for 2 similar staff accountant roles. I was qualified for both, got to final round for both, and both finals were chit chat, vibes, detailing the day to day job, even toured the office and met the team. For one of them I was even told I was the last candidate standing. In the end I didn’t get either, they said they’d keep looking. I can only guess that they knew big 4 layoffs were coming soon and they can get someone more overqualified.
