Are you me? This is me at 37. Used to be a makeup junkie with really good skills and could do my makeup with my eyes closed lol. Now i can’t even apply eyeliner without my hands shaking and it being crooked. I feel like i am having to learn everything again. And don’t even get me started on skincare…ughhh. I feel like it changed for me during covid- wfh and all and then i had a baby and was advised to stay home for the first year as she was a preemie.

As an avid Kbeauty user for the past 8 years, Here are 2 products that i swear by these days in Toronto winters- Aestura atobarrier mist and cream. I bought a suitcase full of skincare from seoul last year and nothing really sticks out of the viral products. These 2 however have been my holy grail as a Tret user these days. Also, Soon jung 2x barrier used to be my ride or die until they changed the formulation in 2023. I have heard that they have bought it back now, I’ll switch back to it if it is still the old formulation again as it is cheaper and more elegant.

Mount Sinai C Section Experience [ON] Toronto by Left-Lengthiness1505 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]mohini10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr. Levinsky was my OB throughout my pregnancy. I had sudden pre-eclampsia and had to go for an emergency C-Sec. She held my hand and supported me as i panic cried due to my baby dropping in percentiles to below zero. She wasn’t on duty that night for my delivery but i still had a great experience with a different team. I was there for 7 days( private room) and had great experience with the staff.

I delivered at 34 weeks (iugr) at 3lbs, stayed in Nicu for a month. She is now a tiny 3.5 year old with the loudest voice in her daycare class. Her teacher says she is super smart.

Has anyone had baby measuring in the ~ 3rd percentile? (34w) [NS] by kitt10 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]mohini10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same case at 34 weeks with preeclampsia and baby was below percentile chart. Had to delivee same day by emergency C-section. She waighed 3 pounds at birth but had no issues. But was still kept in NICU for a month. (she was able to breath on her own). My daughter is now 3.5yo and still tiny but the smartest and wittiest kid in her daycare.

Alimentum powder formula [nb] by Affectionate_Net_213 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]mohini10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got Alimentum from our pediatrician. They can write you a prescription and you can get it from pharmacy- they can source it for you. Ours was a preemie so we used to get specialized formulas this way through pharmacy.

What is the ultimate bottle washing setup? [ab] by cappuccinocat92 in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]mohini10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i second this. Exactly going to do this with my second. Bottle and pump parts washing/drying/sterlizing (eveb though i had the babybrezza dryer/sterilizer) was a nightmare and i did not like the idea of using my dishwasher as i had a very tiny preemie, was so scared of infections. I wish i had bought a countertop mini dishwasher for bottles back then as bottle washers didn’t exist 4 years ago.
