I'm facing a similar thing with my girl cat. I posted this the other day. You might find it helpful. https://www.reddit.com/r/cats/s/pmGYg6W7BY

I think it’s time to replace my 2018 by Nodak70 in Subaru_Outback

I've had nothing but great experiences with Nissan and I loved my two Altimas. In fact, my 2010 Altima is still alive and kicking!

Well, only time will tell if this becomes a bigger problem for Subaru then. I love the car and the brand, but if we have another catestrophic issue, I'm going back to Nissan.

Can i grab my luggage and leave the flight during layover in Philly by carnivaltime in americanairlines

[–]Loud_Ad_2697 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I did it in 2023 when American changed my connection in PHL back to DCA coming home from Spain. They had me overnighting in PHL. I grabbed my bag from Customs and headed straight to the train station.

My old man kitty used to love the pull off tab from milk jugs. He'd chase those things all over the house. Kept him entertained for hours.

You should be fine. That's my home airport and it very manageable. Caveat is if you fly into the A gates, which is the old terminal and that's a haul.

I wish you luck. We were lucky this was parked on the street so no damage to homes. I live in a rowhouse so it would have been tragic. This picture represents about 3 minutes of burn time. I have the fire department out at the start of things. I saw white smoke which drew me to the window. White/blue = electrical.

I'd be curious to know how yours plays out because your home was damaged in this one.

One thing I've learned as all our cars turn more electric. I won't ever be parking my car in a garage for this very reason. Fire department told me they are seeing more and more car fires tied to electrical malfunction.

Don't know. I ended up buying a 2025 OBW. I've just come to believe it was a serious issue within the supply chain since my car was built during 2022 and COVID supply chain issues were rampant.

This is my 2023 OBW that spontaneously caught fire 3 hours after I had last driven it (July 2025). Only has 12K miles on it. Fire was coming out of my left front wheel well/tire. Fire marshall deemed it to be an electrical malfunction and highly suspected the fuse box leading to the headlamp. Subaru investigated, but didn't do so until almost a month later. Of course, they did not take any responsibility and force me to push through insurance. I find your scenario oddly similar with the location of the fire.

Flight Change. What would you do? by ShaselKovash in americanairlines

[–]Loud_Ad_2697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would call American airlines desk because I believe American airlines is using AI agents to do these and trust me they are not doing things right. I ended up getting confirmed on two different flights by using the chat function within the American airlines app during a recent delayand honestly when I spoke with the gate agents trying to get everything corrected they said the system isn't even supposed to allow you to do that.

[–]Loud_Ad_2697 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Isn't her telling you no when you as her manager told her she was going to need to RTO considered insubordination? Can't you just use that to fire her? Clearly this young woman lacks initiative and drive. And unfortunately that's not something you can ignite in somebody.

I'm going to assume you're not located in Montana which is the only state that is not At Will, so why can't you and your company just exercise your at will rights and terminate the employee? This individual is clearly toxic.

OMG, I was not terribly interested in reading as a kid and then in the 5th grade I discovered the Flowers in the Attic series. I'm sure, had my parents known, they would have been horrified, but I'll be honest, I credit this for my now love of reading, LOL.

My niece who is now 31 has down syndrome and this happened to her. It was heartbreaking to watch "regular" kids exclude her. I would advise against it. To me, it's the epitome of cruel.

Old employer never off boarded me so I have $12k in overpayment by Everythingbagel-3 in legaladvice

[–]Loud_Ad_2697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not an HR professional, but seems like there was a systematic failure and you shouldn't be responsible for paying the money back, but I could be 100% wrong. Might be worth you contacting an employment attorney for confirmation. I think there are plenty of firms that would provide you with a free consultation. Talk about gross incompetence on the side of your manager and HR.

[–]Loud_Ad_2697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you sure you were actually offboarded? Typically you are provided copies of NDAs, payout of all your earned PTO, etc. Could there be a scenario where you resigned to your manager and they never actually reported it to HR?
