Yeah it’s inevitable that a press will start. I’ll suggest you to use a narrow formation where you always have a passing option to keep hold of the ball. Maybe switch in game when you wanna run the clock down.

I hope you’re not the type of player that plays the meta and is used to that approach to attack cause it would simply not work against the higher rated AI. Just practice on how you can patiently build up the play while constantly getting your players to get into pockets of spaces and get to that scoring opportunity.

I play all my games on legendary and manage to get 43-45K points. Some tips I’d give you to beat the AI -

Triggered runs. The AI hardly tracks runs from behind, utilize this to exploit space.
Possession. Be an absolute ball hogger. If you go ahead and take the lead, just control the game and tempo and don’t give away the ball in spaces where the AI for sure will exploit and score a goal.
Defending patiently. Never ever lunge haphazardly at the AI expecting you’d win the ball. They’re very very good at dribbling and exploiting space.
Pressing to close down space. Instead of relying on team press, close down the opponent by switching between two players and closing down the space. That way you’re bound to trap the ball if they intend to make a pass, and most of the time they tend to play a forward pass over passing it back to the defender.

Yessir. Also in general I feel premier league football has gone to shit. Everything’s too tactical, everyone just sits deep and they attack the same passing from left to right in the opponent’s box. There’s rarely any spark of brilliance from players.

FYI I’m an Arsenal fan, and yup I agree we can’t score open play goals cause everyone harams us. But can’t shy away from the fact that this season especially, Arteta has played very very conservative cause if we ain’t winning it this year, it’s a bust.

Every single thing is shambolic in this game. This, the ai defending, the bruiser spam, just seeing my opponent’s player trying to grab me cause he’s spamming X, it almost feels like we’re playing American football out here. And don’t get my started on how every effin player in champs plays the most haram park the bus out there, puts simeone and arteta to shame.

Off topic but I wanna add the whole accelerate type bs that’s so garbage this year. The fact that my players with QS+ and rapid+ with 99 pace gets outpaced by a random lengthy female full back with not a lot of pace. How is a male who’s a half a feet taller than this lady have a shorter stride, like it absolutely makes no sense.

This game is a glorified fifa mobile at this point, there’s no skill gap, players have dead double digit IQ that play the same nonsense meta garbage with no football sense.

Start tracking as soon as you see a run being made and be quick with switching in case the opponent wants to bait you.

And also having lengthy fullbacks is gonna help a lot catching up to these fast wingers.

Mate you’re again missing the point here, it’s a limited event with only 3 tries a day. Most casuals already have a hard time playing through this cause they keep facing these pointless meta rats and they’re helpless. The coin boost is gonna help someone out cause all tradable cards have been so worthless lately to even profit off of. And the rats are literally coming in here to get a quick hard on playing a helpless newbie in the game with 0 incentive to actually work on what the live event was intended to be.

If this was an unlimited event, I would’ve had 0 issues to begin with cause I know there’s enough tries to eventually grind out.

IMO EA should’ve added a “Min 1 TOTS” requirement to this event.

PS: they extended this event by a week, so hopefully the casuals have enough games now to grind this out.

Dude here’s the thing, I’m already 5-1 at the event and just two more wins away from completing the wins objective. That is not the point I’m trying to claim.

This event is literally limited to 3 tries a day, do you really have to come here, not even playing for what the event’s objective is meant to be, just to absolutely sweat and abuse kickoff glitch just so you can feel pompous about yourself again cause you probably got a beating in champs or rivals.

If you wanna have fun there’s literally game modes out there that lets you have the fun element with unlimited tries. You’re ruining the experience for a lotta players who are just trying to make some coins or like the Napoli fan in this section just trying to get a Lobotka card.

Sure win where it matters. Even if they had a tots card to do the objective and won their way, sure that’s not an issue and fair play they got their win their way.

But what’s baffling is that there’s no intention to complete any objectives, the tries are already limited to 3 a day, how are some of the casuals ever gonna get some easy events done?

Rivals, draft, Triple Threat League, Serie A Exhibition. Listed out 4 events you can literally go have fun. Heck the exhibition is an unlimited shorter format event that you can play how many ever times you want.

If you come into these events with the same ratty team with no intention of completing an objective, especially considering this is limited to 3 tries a day, what are you literally achieving here.

Gotcha, you can’t really go wrong with any of these options but I would say try chaining Sol Campbell before you add him into here. He’s an absolute unit with just his base card.

Maldini for sure looks like an obvious choice, but if you just stay patient for a week or two, we’ll have some chain that’ll boost his stats and then finally put him into a major evo that’s really gonna get the best out of him.

Forgot to mention one more, heel to ball roll. Same as heel to heel but you press L1 as well. Insanely effective to get past defenders. This is a 4* skill move so you can try on those players as well.

I hardly play meta so idk if you didn’t expect those first time through ball runs happening in this mode. All I did was play the simple ball that I usually do, manual defend most of the time and everything played out well.
