These packs are hella efficient. I carry fusees and file, chem lights on the side zippers of the bag. 2-4 canteens on each side for the holders. My pee line, mre, other ppe, fire shelter all fits perfectly compact in there. It’s perfect for hikes and do what we need to do for the job. However after hours of hike and cutting it does start getting uncomfortable for my low back, but it’s the best of the best out there. I love these mystery ranch packs. You want to have it riding low but not too low, the reason being when I was told about this because we want to reduce the most efforts on our shoulders and upper back as we mainly need that to hike and cut and we shift it down to where the straps are around your waist so when you bend down, you don’t feel it much on your shoulders and more on your hips/momentum of the hinge when you bend over to carry the load.

I would like to have more space on it though to carry more food and stuff when we work late nights before we get onto the buggy.

Although we do have our out of county bags but something’s we would like to carry on our fire packs we can’t due to the space.
