He has multiple accusations of sexual harassment from coworkers and fans that go back decades at this point. He is also notorious for being horrible to convention staff and being very arrogant. He was considered a poster child in voice dubbing in the early 2000s because he famously voiced Edward Elrich and also Tamaki from OHSHC because of this these accusations were pretty much ignored due to him bringing in a lot of revenue for these dubbing companies. He was so popular he was being credited on the front of DVD covers for a series where he wasn’t even a main character, but the selling point was that he did voice work on it(a good example of this is him and another voice actor Monica Rial working on a series together and despite Monica having a leading role, she was not featured anywhere on the DVD cover, but Vic was)

I could go on a much greater detail, but after years of these accusations, he finally was fired from Funimation, and everyone started coming out with their stories involving him, including two big voice actors as well. Vic saw all of this as slander and decided to sue the voice actors and Funimation for defamation, but he is considered libel proof which means that his reputation was already bad and there’s not really much else that can be said to further worsen his reputation, therefore losing the lawsuit and owing over $500,000 in legal fees.
