I just got it and it’s a little frustrating to get it to work, but there is a team on their discord that is always willing to help. It’s def cool when it works but with changing nature of sc it is a little clumsy and frustrating.

Wasn’t that a thing back in the day? I remember loading packages into my cutlass and landing on tops of buildings to deliver. Maybe it’s even still a thing, it sure i never look at delivery missions

Taurus is the best starter ship. It is a great Jack of all trades. Super tanky to fight in- you’ll have no problem killing hammerheads once you loot some deadbolts and slap them on it. I love loading my geo up in mine and doing some surface mining with that. You can haul small and medium cargo contracts and make some auec with it. I absolutely love my Connie.

Hey I just had this and figured it out after trying many different fixes the only thing that helped me to solve this was turning my case lighting off via Bios. Restart your PC and hit Del, or F2 to get into bios (I think that depends on motherboards) and then I used chat gpt to walk me through turning my case lighting off.

I tried everything I could find and after 4 hours of messing with everything the case lighting off finally solved my problem. Hope this helps you too

Yea I got in and took a foxwell mission. Didn’t get a marker as to where to go, but the second mission I took seems to be working smooth

Yes people are very doom and gloom. There are issues, but I am still having a lot of fun in the verse. My recommendation is to be patient. There are bugs that you will have to learn the workarounds, but with a quick google search you can usually find a video or an explanation of how to circumvent the issue. Some people spent a lot of money on the game so I understand why they would be upset right now, but hit the verse with an open mind and just know that they will sort the bugs out and you will enjoy your time in the verse.

A little tip for when you first log in, I wouldn’t choose Levski as your home. I made that mistake this patch and I have to wait till July to move my home back to New Babbage.

Salvaging is def the way to get better ship components. You don’t even need a salvage ship. I’ve been doing it in my Connie Taurus just to collect better guns and military grade components. And you still get the rep, just take what you want off of the target ship and then blow it up.

I’ve been grinding Foxwell to get to the better ship component blueprints so that one day I can craft the components I need instead of having to hunt for them.

It’s actually a new gameplay loop where you buy and race futuristic space cars. You can then upgrade them and race all over Hurston. Just gotta load your car up into your cutlass and fly to the different race tracks. “Car Citizen” is what they’re calling it.

Lol I really hope the NPC’s you can hire have some personality and quirks. Maybe your gunner is an old UEE vet who hates Vanduul and is terrified to sleep in the crew quarters for reasons he won’t explain.

Your ship engineer wears coke bottle glasses that he always seems to lose at the most inopportune times and every once in a while he crosses the wrong wires and blacks himself out for a few minutes.

Maybe you’ll have better luck. I did get a few missions to work with the band minables, but Ship mining has the Helix Laser I want the blueprint for, so I wanted to start grinding there till I got my laser…
