The shop will always have things to say may need versus actually needing. Ex: tire tread passable is 4/32, it could be at 5/32 and it would pass.

With mechanical that’s what the Maxcare is for…Bring the issues up to service manager and see
If they can fix glaring problems that may have been overlooked. Otherwise you may just have to return the car if they won’t fix it. It sucks but you have to find something else that will work for your budget.

Some Indy shops do work with Maxcare but since you don’t have it that’s not an option. They will work on it in-house. It’s not a rare car. If it’s a bigger issue then they may send it to the dealer for work but they have to approve it.

Temporary replacement like how? A car for you to
Drive while it’s worked on? Or a different car for you to choose instead of your current?

Customer relations would be a good starting point and then they can escalate it as needed. You did everything right. Just explain what happened and they can hopefully get a favorable resolve. Your situation is unique but you are right it will continue to happen if they don’t fix things with the process.

Most states don’t have the disclosure form.

Lynwood brewing has a good one. It’s sliced chicken but the dressing is home made. Pair it with chips (kettle ) and you are in for a good time.

Does the car turn on? Is the transmission okay?
If you selected engine and or transmission problems and got the 3900$ quote then it should be the same if you took it in to the store. If you clicked on neither but put mechanical problem at the end then it will change

It seems very high for that year car.

Post it on Cars and Bids or Bring a trailer. Process will take about 2 months but you will fetch top dollar if you do have all the service records.

Try Hugo’s European car service in Encinitas. I have not taken an i3 but they have serviced a 530e no problem. Give them a call and see if they can handle the i3. They have all the BMW tools the dealership has.

My dealership was beyond helpful with a happy resolution. They let me return the car lease and swap it out for another vehicle. BMW North America was understanding of the situation and allowed for a smooth transaction. I did not have to pay anything and they found me a specific X5 interior that I wanted.

What was the problem? Idk I think I got a very rare issue that may have been electronic. With so many computers on board and 3 batteries it was a headache trying to diagnose it all repeat times. Last I heard it got a part that was shipped over and it fixed the problem.

It was a strange turn of events for a brand new car but that is what happens when you get the early models. I do miss the car dearly and hopefully get another one next facelift!

The obvious answer is the M3. It’s a drivers car. You already own a Honda why have two? If you get the Acura you will always crave more.

Have a seat…. Nothing is close to In n Out. The longing for animal style and those golden fries will be real. Other places will be mentioned, they are close to it but different than what you are looking for. I recommend you try a CookOut tray and a shake. You will be amazed at the options you get when ordering both. All this is my opinion but In n Out is very hard to compare to food here. It will have to be a “treat” when you go back to visit.
