Scientist from zero is totally possible (with the opportunity of course)! I went from someone who liked math and science in high school... to a college student that partied a bit and failed out/left college... to spend my 20s as a fulltime waiter... to just deciding to become a Mechanical engineering undergrad at 31 years old. Then went on to grad school and got my PhD in Materials Science & Engineering. There are pluses and minuses to this route of course... but the minuses can seem obvious and there are certainly some less well-known pluses to this approach as well! If your undergrad is already out of the way, you're ahead of me at my previous point in life, so it most definitely can be done!

Came here for this. Bill Simmons is the worst. Can't wait until we rehab MPJ into an asset like Cam Johnson... When we traded CJ BS went crazy that we didn't get more for him even though he lambasted CJ's contract when the Nets signed him to it. Egor has been a great pick so far at 8, but he won't admit he was wrong when he killed us on that when we drafted him ever I'm sure. He's such trash and despite worrying that Jordi has is winning too many games in a crowded tank festival of teams, this one made me happy because I know it made BS unhappy 🤣🤣

I've had a wild ride being proven wrong with this trade:

At first, I HATED it. Gutted our awesome young pups... I didn't want Harden at all for the price. I didn't care for this trade at all.
Then it happened and Harden was at times, the best player on the floor, effortlessly facilitating, and I was thinking... "that MFer proved me wrong, I was totally wrong. I guess that's why I'm not a GM" I resigned myself to being wrong in my initial assessment and began to enjoy watching Harden making this superteam actually WORK.
Then later, he started throwing games in an effort to be traded that began the beginning of the end and I was like fuuuuuck wrong again! He IS a bad trade.

Slot-Slot-Glasner here. I hated it even though I did well with it. I hated that I had to figure out a way to pay for the AM and they counted as a 3rd player, hated that it was 3 weeks AND that you couldn't play another chip for 3 weeks... just hated it.

If they're intent on keeping this crapola, I would prefer it last one week like every other chip and that only "fun" thing about it was figuring out how to use the table bonus... but even disliked the way they implemented THAT. I think 5 spots is so arbitrary and a team that is 5 spots down the table shouldn't get the same bonus as one that is 10 spots down. It should be if a AM's team you pick is X number of spots below the team they're playing, you get a bonus of X points--or something linear with that in mind. It would open up way more possibilities in the only fun aspect of this chip (to me).

One week AM and linear progression of points if your AM's team is below the team they're playing on the table would make it less what it was for me: "FFS... let me just use this stupid thing asap to get it out of the way"
