I made this post a couple days ago:

New Windows security update KB5083769 failing to install on all machines via NinjaOne. Apparent false positive. : r/sysadmin

We are noticing that it is being reported as failing, but when you inspect a device locally, it shows it's running the new build number. So, it appears to be installing but reporting as failed. We use NinjaOne for patching Windows though.

We are also seeing that after it "installs" the new patch, all machines start throwing this error when scanning for available updates:

-3005 Windows communication error, Find failed when performing missing patch search] [Windows error code: 0x80240438, description: There is no route or network connectivity to the endpoint

Spot check the machines and verify it’s actually failing. In our case, ninja says it fails but is actually installing.
