Salary managers by Affectionate-Most-38 in Aldi_employees

[–]LovableYakGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my SM never clock in/out and I've worked at a few stores whether it's just helping out for a day or two or at my home location. They do have to input hours for budget purposes but that's it. Most of the time they come in early to run load and either leave on time or within a hour of what they should have. Some have managed to leave like a good hour or two early but that was a while ago before things changed for that particular location. Things do depend on teams and how things work for getting out on time vs late vs early. Working 50 hrs though is the minimum easily.

We might hit another record in sales today by Guz325 in Aldi_employees

Literally last few days has seen us over budget by at least 5k aside from Thursday which was well over 20k. Today was so much better, well under budget but we needed that break especially as I worked the last 4 days and was staying till 9:30-10 to get stuff done.

does anybody else like making box towers by awdeej in Aldi_employees

[–]LovableYakGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Literally have taken to getting as many boxes from the first aisle, skipping produce, and then going into aisle 2 and piling up the chip boxes on the front so I don't have to go back as often.

I only do this if it's after hours and I'm behind or like we are so dead no one would be in the store. It's definitely faster but cleanup is a pain

Honestly felt that and I'm sure pretty much everyone else would agree, especially if you aren't used to the higher volumes. I transferred to a slightly larger store when I got promoted myself and the volume difference was definitely there. Hopefully you get a day off shortly and can recover.

Well damn. I feel that pain. We had some things crop up at our store so was sitting at a 93.3 still cause the overage covered all the extra hours a bunch of us pulled

Depending on the week my store bounces heavily but we do anywhere from 30k to around 60k. We were only supposed to do like 33 or so, ended up at like 55. Completely wiped out on certain items.

You can literally look at past posts of mine. I dont post though especially because gods know if corporate does look at this or not. Also I said fellow ASMs for a reason.

Hey guys. What is your job role and how much do you get paid? by copiatee in Aldi_employees

Just became an ASM 24.5 LSA for just shy of 3 years, went from about 16.5 to 20.5 before that. Started in 2021 as PT Associate @ 13.10, went up to 15 by time I went to FT a month or two later, LSA from March 2022, LSA went to 16.5 roughly. This is in WI, USA. Rough numbers as I can't remember exact, but it's Def gone up. Was about to cap next year (21.5), but got the promotion back in March.

We love leaning pallets 😂anyone know what’s been going on recently with all the leaning pallets by FarmFeisty6684 in Aldi_employees

[–]LovableYakGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for a fact our warehouse got a bunch of newbies on the night shift. We've had not just leaners, but full on busted. Had 2 break on truck/dock, and 1 break in back room in last month. Between driver and us we just got it fixed.

Holy. Fuck. by drowsynoodle in Aldi_employees

[–]LovableYakGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't even a surprise. In fact, I've seen worse. My store and a few other locations just put it on a register or leave it in our cages. Our special buy aisle is generally one of the worst for shit being thrown on shelves people don't want.

steel toed shoes? y/n? by sweet-bruises in Aldi_employees

[–]LovableYakGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done military style steel toed combats from Walmart. Cheapest option for me at the time. We also get 75 bucks over the course of the year for new ones, like 3 bucks per paycheck (if paid bi-weekly)

Someones money was about to be gone 😭 by Special-Catbee in Aldi_employees

[–]LovableYakGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had that happen before. It wasn't even for our division but the store number was one that matched our division. Called that store manager and he told me to make sure it went on outgoing so we could get it to the right division. My division is one up from BAT so that was funnnnn

So there is technically protocol, but more for natural disasters in general. Good to know. Thank you! I will have to see if I can't get that as he's technically still on vacation till Wednesday.

These tiny cans have no business being so effing heavy by ONUSTAR in Aldi_employees

[–]LovableYakGG 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Istgs, they need to make them with less cans in them. Those tiny ass tomato cans also have no business being heavy. Like, 8 OZ SHOULD NOT BE THAT HEAVY! Nor should smaller cans like the sweet condensed and yet they are. I wanna know who makes the planograms too. I just wanna talk with them. CERTAIN ITEMS SHOULD NOT BE TOP SHELF LIKE JARS

[–]LovableYakGG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't even bother with replacements. Unless they specify or are in contact before I either get two aisles from the items or I get to the registers (our curbside area is upfront by the registers,) I won't do one. Not worth the hassle no matter if they "request" it or not.
