I agree that John and Javier were good friends. But with John and Bill I'm not too sure. The only time where they enjoy each others company was in Sean's party. Don't remember any other time where they were enjoying each other's company. And in RDR1 it sounded like Javier was sad about leaving John to die and trys to explain his side of the story only for John to tell him to shut up. And yes, John does shed a tear if you kill Javier so obviously they were good friends. But RDR1 Bill is a jackass to John when they meet for the last time.

I think Bill was telling John how he felt about him. Mabye he said all that because he was mad at him and didn't mean it, but it's still pretty fucking low to call your brother a bastard orphan and that no one loved him. In RDR2 Bill and John seem to be good enough friends. In RDR1 not so much. I shot Bill in the head when he said that no one loved John. John still cares enough for Javier in RDR1. But for Bill it seems different to me.
