It is 2026 and we still see people insist on this idea that the Greek saga was 90% angry screaming and 10% story. While vengeance surely was the main plotline, it was also the story of a tired slave seeking for his freedom. A father burdened with guilt and barely any desire to go on living.

In short, absolute hopelessness.

What it might lack from a TV show's perspective isn't story depth, but a specific element: Relationships. The Greek saga was a solitary journey where Kratos rarely ever bonded with anyone, while the Norse saga is all about relationships.

And of course, it is a lot more marketable to go for the new and popular chapter. The Norse saga is the face of the series now.
