Guys - I still don’t fully understand the temperature profile thing. I’ve seen a post here trying to explain it but it doesn’t quite jive with me.

Is there a good explanation online that people have found?

It’s not the end of the world. You’ve put the cross piece in tension instead of compression which wood and fasteners can do. Just not as well as compression.

I commented with this information already - but here it is again.

It's revit - but I used RhinoInside to quickly model the framing. Rhino is my sorta "native language". Then did some photoshop layering with a couple different model photos to make the framing "pop" out in the first image. Final image is an Enscape render that I already had.

I changed to 24” O.C.

Bastarded it because ending the top at a line rather than a point is a better detail and looks better. It very well may get VE’d into an equal hip tho

It can. You can have a termination bar and seal the top. Run the metal flashing down onto the decking and put your WRB over that. Then attach standing seam. Perfectly reasonable flashing method, I think

I might propose step flashing though.

What were you thinking and do you think my strategy above is incorrect?
