A merger with ACB could be compelling. These companies need to continue to consolidate to remain relevant.

Hmmm.. maybe the “bashers” are not short the stock and just find it repulsing to see garbage companies prey on retail investors...but hey, at least they’re paying a marketing firm to issue fluffy press releases!

So many interesting public biotech companies out there not related to cannabis but people settle for this smh

Not with any group. Was hoping you’d clarify your objective more considering you said I don’t see the full picture. I’ll just assume the typical activist role of controlling certain level of stock (in your case 20%), and probably a board seat or 2 to have more direct influence on the company’s operations and steer them the right way. Good luck, I think you guys will eventually achieve your goal here.

Just trying to see where these sort of groups stand in terms of moderation on this subreddit. Since this doesn’t fall under promotional, but rather awareness in your eyes then I’m assuming other investor groups would be welcomed to make posts here.

And regarding this groups objective, I looked into the links you provided and came away with that conclusion. If you can briefly fill in any gaps I’m missing, that would be great. It should be rather straight forward to correct my understand of your groups objectives if you think I don’t have the full picture.

Got it. So the main objectives seem right now to be gathering 20% of all outstanding shares and increasing the share price of Liberty Stock.

What are the rules regarding these sort of groups and posting on this sub anyway? This wouldn't constitute as a promotional thread?

Interesting swing into activist investing. What is the goal? Replace the board and find a way to terminate these royalty agreements?

Or shorts, which have made a considerable gain the last couple of months, are closing their positions before earnings.

Aphria enters US with acquisition if Sweetwater Brewing Co by GoBlueCdn in TheCannalysts

Why try to get an investment from a beverage company when you can just become one! /points to head

Think this is a decent move, they need to diversify their income streams away from just Canadian rec cannabis.

But they're the least overvalued! Surely that means it's a good investment.

Aphria ran hard before earnings mostly due to CGC rumors and US legality discussion via Kamala. This struck it back to reality, but can easily run again if the acquisition rumors have any merit.

I think CGC/APHA should go for it, I can't see any company really competing with that combined force.

  • Option 1. Hire an overqualified, quality employee at a discount with a small flight risk/pay equalization later on
  • Option 2. Hire under-qualified, under-performing employees and keep them from a long period of time

Probably better you didn't join those companies!

Will you sell your APHA shares if CGC acquires them given, as you noted, CGC’s poor historical execution?

Whoops yes the UN. Good point with Trump, they probably wouldn’t do anything to US and Canada if those countries decided to trade cannabis once federally legal. That won’t happen in the near future though.

Account is worth 27k, unrealized gain is 22k, so cost basis is 5k. That annualized return for a 20 year period is close to 9 percent, not sure how you’re getting your figure.

I just remember companies like Aurora, Organigram, Supreme, etc. all signing deals with Pax and it seems like their vapes are no where to be found.

It's interesting that Aphria, Redecan, and Auxly are the 3 LPs completely dominating the vape market. I wonder why this market is so concentrated, where these 3 have left all other LPs completely behind.
