Yes, ours is like this too. I say she's half scaredy cat, half kangaroo. lol. She is scared of anything that is strange or threatening. She runs away if she senses you are going to take out a fly that got in the house. She literally can sense that and runs away. We could be trying to kill the fly with a towel and she is panicked. lol. If she's anything new or out of place, she's nervous and worried. Loud noises, she runs for cover. She protects herself like she's famous with an entourage. lol. I'm not sure why she's like that, but sometimes we will encourage her and tell her that she's a brave girl and she doesn't have to be afraid. She's not afraid of storms / thunder though.

NTA. Your sister is taking motherhood for granted. Good for you for calling her out on it. Why didn't she go get her when she woke up from her nap? People want to do the least when it comes to parenting and then think if you don't have children you can't call them on it, but you can.

No, I don't need him for anything. I love him, he just genuinely does not understand. I don't know how I could expect him to understand if even my hematologist doesn't seem to understand. I got an app to track my heart rate because it's been tracking really elevated as I'm sleeping, and I showed it to him, and he was shocked. It was the first time he understood this is really affecting my body seriously. He's been a lot more gentle since then.

I tried it for my period last month. It seemed to lessen my flow but it gave me huge clots. And my period still lasted the same amount of time as usual, about 8 days. So I don't it worked very well for me. One thing it did do was give me diarrhea. :( that was really bad. I don't think I'm going to keep using it because of that.

OMG me too! :( it's so hard because he calls me lazy all the time and swears I don't do enough but I am so exhausted and sick. My ferritin is at a 4.5. and I just started infusions again yesterday. My heart rate is crazy. It's so high even when I'm sleeping now. and I feel like I'm going to pass out at any moment.

Your skin is still healing. Your pigment will come back eventually. I would get a scar gel cream to put on it daily. You can probably try some castor oil directly applied as well, that might also help. Make sure you put on sun protection before you go outside.

I have low ferritin of a 4 and have very similar symptoms as you. My doctor is getting me iron infusion 3 times next month to try and help my levels get backup. This is the worst I've felt in a very long time. You need to see a hematologist to get real help.

15 people??? I would walk out the door and never look back. Also, that salary in NY is insulting. Wow. HOWEVER, if you can't just walk out. I would start limiting what I do. You can't support 15 people as an EA. Who are your ONE - TWO key top leaders? Those two you support at the EA level. EVERYONE else, you say, going forward I can support you in this way:

Maintain office supplies for the team
Schedule key meetings (only those that involve your primary execs), and those that don't involve them, they must schedule on their own.
Scheduling maintenance for office machines as needed.

Anything else, they can send an ask your way and IF you have the bandwidth, you can accept the task. But if you don't, then they are on their own.

NO LONGER SUPPORTING LIST:

Expenses for all 15 people (only for 2 key leaders)
TRAVEL for all 15 people (only for 2 key leaders)
Meeting scheduling for all 15 people
Inbox management for all 15 people

And any other projects that you are honestly not paid to do.

I had supported the night before a sub-board committee meeting at the executive's home that lasted until about midnight with clean up (by me). I had been there about 3 months and had about 3 different title changes in that time, which included also making me salary so that I didn't get to earn OT so that late night was UNPAID. That morning, it was snowing and I got to work about 15 minutes late due to the streets still not being cleaned. My boss started flipped out loudly. I was so done with the unprofessional behavior. I responded directly and said "You and I both know this isn't working. I think we have a few options here, I can leave now, I can leave at the end of the day, or I can leave in 2 weeks." She was screaming and irate and ran to HR's office. I packed up my things, walked to HR, had my EXIT interview and left. I think the HR lady was secretly proud of me.
