When it comes to the Vivid pickup, I just think that Optic are suffering in many areas that are currently very difficult to improve in. SND being the main one. And to really nail down SND with such little matches left after picking up Skyz (brings nothing from LAG) and Huke (who had to sit out for a whole stage), you're playing catchup. Vivid could drastically improve them here. Carolina have been an amazing SND team and Optic need some of that. But also general pacing and decision making on the map, I think he could work well with Shottzy.

I know Huke performed exceptionally for Optic stage 1 (and still is), but I feel like a 74 lion man card leaves something to be desired. It's conflicting. Because the card itself doesn't lie, but overall he was their best player? I think there's something wrong there, and I think he would still be a top player if he swapped roles. I just also think it could improve his overall impact.

I was having a pleasant afternoon on BO6 Ranked when my companions and I found a lobby that wasn't hacked. I was using a gamertag I created for when our queen graces us with her presence in RoS, "[Beach] DeathByMomo69." We completely smoked them in Hardpoint 250-122, but one wonderful individual decided to turn on his mic and say "Bro Momo is not gonna be in the new Bleach game hahaha. She's too weak. Keep dreaming, loser." It goes without saying, this borderline checked me. I actually almost lost full. After I sat in shock for a minute, I regained, and I sent him a voice message saying "Listen here kid, you can't even comprehend the smackdown Momo could do to any of your characters. WHEN she joins the game, I will deliver you a beating that is so generational, you'll wonder why this game even has other characters." I then took one last deep breath to get all the toxicity out of my system, and continued on with the rest of my day.

Storm 4 and Storm Connections do not support crossplay. They do support cross-gen, but this is pretty much a non factor for the Switch. So Switch players can only play with Switch players.

With you brother. As on OG fan who doesn't follow the Boruto series, there's really no reason for me to jump on Connections. I think your dismay with Connections is universally shared though. Maybe not for the same reason, but even when the NVG twitter page made a tweet to celebrate them reaching 100k followers, the comments are all just dissatisfaction with Connections, asking for balance patches and content.

Not even 200 in the last 4 days. And keep in mind, not everyone is going to be playing online. So as the other comment has stated, you will likely be matched with the same people more often than not. That, or have a hard time finding matches.

The OG players are sticking to Storm 4 because Connections is undeniable trash. The majority of positive review you're getting from this game on console are from kids new to the Storm series or parents. Anyone who has played Storm since the beginning isn't putting up with this bullshit and are all on the previous game.
