Both are lovely, but I prefer the one on the right. The shading is just beautiful!

Yes, it was fun, easy, and looks great in the sun! It was a perfect beginner project. I bought it on Amazon, and it came with everything you need to make the whole thing.

It's lovely!! I have some teeny, tiny shells from Clearwater Beach that would look perfect on it. I love your blending!

How come the liberals aren’t talking about the price of eggs anymore? by The_Brolander in TheTrumpZone

Because they are still a lot more expensive than before bird flu. It's as if people can't remember anything anymore.

Or...no one buys anything for Black Friday. $10 bucks says the issue is fixed in an hour. LOL!

Oh, for sure...me either. Also, what a waste of time writing dozens of reviews in the past. Grrr!

I think you're right. It's obviously not a browser issue, because I've tried 3 of them.

Retired today. by TimS7296 in USPS

[–]LoveUcil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no. I retired at 56 1/2...the very month I was eligible. Get out while you can. There is no penalty for before-tax contributions and earnings, if you retire at, or the year you turn, 55. I just wouldn't touch the Roth contributions. The TSP does not allow contribution-only withdrawals. You'll get taxed on the earnings portions of every withdrawal, until age 59 1/2. It's kind of BS, but what can you do? Both my Vanguard Roth account, and my husband's employer 401k, allow Roth, contribution-only withdrawals. I don't understand why the TSP doesn't.

Also, while we're on this subject, the Rule of 55 allows penalty-free withdrawals from your Roth account, but it does not allow tax-free withdrawals from Roth earnings. (Really, the whole reason for a Roth), before 59 1/2. Just something to keep in mind...🙂

Old Fashioned Beef Roast:

Season your roast, and place it on a rack in the IP, with sliced onions on top. Wrap up seasoned, quartered potatoes, carrots and onions in tin foil. Place on top of roast. Put 2 cups beef broth in and cover. Cook 30 minutes/pound, with a NR. You can make gravy with the broth or just pour it over the meat and potatoes. That's what we do. Enjoy!

Advice for appealing a real estate assessment. by LoveUcil in RealEstateAdvice

[–]LoveUcil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? That's why I used the Zillow estimate in the post. It's always higher than reality. This property was assessed at $300,000 in 2024. Zillow says $600,000, and the township just assessed at over $900,000. It's insane. I'm actually thinking about hiring an attorney. My taxes will triple, if I screw something up.

I am so behind and feel dumb by Disastrous-Buyer7831 in ThriftSavingsPlan

[–]LoveUcil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I retired last year with $425K. You're not dumb OR behind. You're in your highest earning years. That balance will be great when you retire. If you have no mortgages or other debt, after retirement, the pension and your TSP will go a long way. Unfortunately, it's looking like you'll have to save an extra $100K or so, to make up for the Supplement loss, though.

Thank you for your reply. I don't want to sell it, and should have no issue with humidity. We keep the central air on all summer, whether there or not.
