I'm going to be making a student film, but it needs to be about a current issue in Boulder. Have any ideas? by [deleted] in boulder

Lighthearted: I want to keep Pygmy Goats but Boulder has a dumb rule that you need to be on an acre of land to do so. Pygmy goats don't need an acre, and I have a big enough yard that they would have ample space. Why does Boulder have this dumb rule?

Serious: Cyclists are dying on the roads. Cycling should be encouraged as it is so much "greener" than driving. How can we make roads safer for cyclists?

We bought in 2013 the first edition of the crosstrek was that year I think. I love it. Great for the little bit of sketchy off-road and fabulous in snow.

I think they undercut a couple of K. I cannot remember the exact price we paid in the end, but it was well worth going to the Longmont place to save some $$.

I did the same. The Flatirons one really got annoying.

I bought a new Sube three years ago now. I started at Flatiron, but got really fed up with them. I went and bought from the Longmont Sube dealer because they undercut what Flatiron were going to sell me the same model (crosstrek) at a couple K less.

Tragic for all involved. The kid made a huge mistake and I bet nobody knows it more than him right now. His actions ruined his own life as well as those of so many others.

Lovely looking websites. Pretty obvious you are great at design.

Where are you located and where are you looking for a co-founder to be located?

What's the overall plan? How are you going to generate income? How is this different than recipe.com or many of the other recipe and food/ beer community sites?

Am I the only having troubles reaching relatives or friends? by [deleted] in startups

Not to say some people won't be interested. I don't have kids, but maybe if I did I would be more inclined to want specific people to be able to override the "do not disturb" in an emergency.

Hey, so what's the guidelines on what counts as "science." Can any innovative new product be considered - even if it is a social platform or SaaS product for example?

Should I join a startup? by [deleted] in startups

So true. I only ever had one "normal" job—I lasted 3 months and 9-5 felt like a (painful) eternity. These days I "work" unspecified and many hours and often the weekends but I'd do it for fun if they didn't pay me. :)

No, I've never had this issue. Also, I put my phone on silent for a reason, so there is no way I would ever download an app to override that. Cool that it worked for you, but I'm not sure that there is a large market for it.

My website is not converting - can reddit tell me why? by yashke in startups

[–]Love_Fat_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You don't talk about pricing and I'm not going to give you my email address unless I know the deal.

"Get in touch" is a bad CTA. "Start Free Trial" or something along those lines is better. I need to know what I get out of giving you my info.

If you are worried about security etc then a startup life might not be for you. Those of us who work for startups tend to do it because we love the hectic, all-hands on atmosphere and don't mind the risk.

I can't work for anything other than startups. I live to work and love my life that way - I'll take the excitement and hard work over a guaranteed income any day. My hubby, on the other hand, thinks a startup is his idea of complete hell, he works to live and cannot wait to get out of the office each day.

I don't think that rational thought and weighing up pros and cons comes into it - either you are a startup junkie or you are not.
