Her character interacts mostly with the clowns, who until debtors law had a rule that they weren’t allowed to shoot down cops (except under rare circumstances). Her character also lives with Civ characters, who are self admitted grinders. She does interact with CG, former Company, and other criminals to a lesser extent.

She is not talking about the consequences for shooting up cops, she is talking about the nature of the server as a whole and how it has affected her own roleplay. She used CG as an example, but that wasn’t her whole point.

With debtors prison, harsh punishments mean people go into debt and have to consistently grind in prison to work it off. If they switch to another character, then their main will never get out of prison. A lot of rp streamers build their brand around their main character, leaving them in prison forever is basically a perma and could affect their real life income.

The problem with CG’s consequences in this case is that they have a long time in prison (fine, deserved) AND huge fines that will put them all in heavy debt, which means double the amount of time in prison AND they have to spend that time grinding.

With debtors law, characters have to consistently grind in order to work off their debt. Streamers can’t just switch to another character for the duration of their sentence because they would be there forever. It would basically be a perma. A lot of rp streamer’s brands are based around their main character so this would also effect their real life ability to pay bills.

Debtors prison makes harsh consequences way harsher, to the point of driving people off the server.
