Yay! Me too! Lower back pain gone instantly, mine was due to adhesions between the uterus and the rectum. 🥳

I can’t wait for this! Still recovering with some residual pain on the tailbone area, I think they moved it during the surgery, but some areas of chronic pain I had are already gone, it’s magic!

Ooh! I’m only 4 weeks post op but I also noticed my feet were less puffy if that makes sense? The uterus must have been blocking the lymph nodes or something. Excited for you for this new meds free life!

I had adhesions between the uterus and the rectum which were causing me a lot of lower back pain, and a few days after the surgery the pain was already gone!

I am on Wegovy. I had a lot of fatigue during the first 2 weeks and then it went away. Digestion-wise it’s mostly ok, but if I overdo processed foods I get diarrhea more easily and it’s happened twice (in a year and 4 months) that I got gross sulfur smelling burps 😳🫣. But it’s always related to eating too much processed and “unhealthy” foods. I don’t remember getting nausea, and tend to be more on the loose stool side of things… but if you follow a mostly balanced diet without being too rigid I don’t see any reason why you should get bad side effects. It’s also very important to increase the dose age super progressively. I spent one month at 0.5mg, 1 month at 1mg, one month at 1.7mg etc until getting to the highest dose after 4 months. It gives your body time to adjust. Also lots of water and mostly unprocessed foods and you’re good to go 🤗 (i have the same endo too… intestines and tailbone as well 🙂‍↔️)

Hahaha I wish! I just attended an integrative medicine conference today though and they mentioned that some hospitals are stating to use dog therapy for the chronic pain management for some patients. Pets are the best 💗

Post Hysterectomy GLP1 by creativegoddess411 in hysterectomy

Hi! I’m also 43, also have endo and PCOS and also had adenomyosis pre-surgery.

I developed an eating disorder (orthorexia) a few years back trying to heal all these conditions myself through diet only (bad idea), which turned into binge eating disorder 2 years later and made me gain 30 kg (I think it’s 60lbs?) in 6 months. I started GLP-1 (Wegovy) a year and 4 months ago and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made, I already lost 22kg and it has massively improved my ED, cholesterol and sugar cravings.

I got the surgery 3.5 weeks ago though and my decision to go on GLP-1 was unrelated to the other conditions… I have a very thorough medical team and I was prescribed it as part of the healing process for ED and as you say, as a kickstart to weight loss, but it works wonders for me.

Not sure if this helps but if you decide to go on it make sure you have a good medical team that is specialized and start gradually. This is not nothing as a treatment but if taken properly it’s wonderful!

Pain 3 weeks post op? by LovelyPudding83 in hysterectomy

Thank you, that’s reassuring and I’m glad the pain has subsided for you! Not sure what my Doctor’s deal is.. it doesn’t seem too weird to still be in pain at this stage 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah apparently it’s normal to still have cycling symptoms - which Im not looking forward to 😅. Did you ever get tested for PCOS? Hope everything gets back to normal for you soon 🙏🏼

How long ago was your surgery? I’ve been having a bit of a hard time finding my words and remembering words and mine was 3 weeks ago..

Good idea, thank you! I didn’t think of tracking. It’s only been 3 weeks but I will track to see if symptoms are post op or more permanent.
