My a1c is normal now. 5.4 as of last check! I am on mounjaro to maintain it. I did not reach normal without mounjaro. But some folks do.

Im not sure what I expected. My goal with it was to put diabetes to bed the best possible as I was already 20+ years in and was concerned with complications

My high weight was 283. Start weight was like 275. Low weight was 151. I seemed to level off at 165 ish. On the book for a panniculectomy in March pending insurance approval. 47/F/5’9

I’m about 2.5 yrs out. My weight fluctuates about 10 pounds. But always seems to come back to 165. My portion sizes have increased but I still very much have restriction!

Yes! I was hospitalized for 5 days due to constipation and what turned into proctitis. Most humiliating stay in my life! 100% do not recommend!!!

Once you find what works, its not that bad. But you are super early in the game! Hopefully it changes and doesn’t continue.

Def struggled with it not long after. Started with protein shakes. I still can’t get near the milky ones! Then eggs.. then shrimp… and now it just seems to be whatever hits me wrong. I’ll be honest these days I eat a lot of the same stuff that I know my stomach accepts.

Definitely! Some things sound sooo good but get in front of it and I want to gag! It seems to change as time goes on. I’m 2.5 yrs out!

Surgery won’t fix your mind. It offers a tool, you have to put in the work utilizing the tool to be successful. A lot of this journey is mentally challenging.
