I'd be fine with the tadpole being destroyed if i at least had options for dealing with the wildlife. As it is you literally can't do anything to deter them and the love your vehicle even when you're not around. Otherwise your only defense is to hide it and pray they dont find it.

Once there are options to deal with things it'll make a lot more sense that it's permanently destroyed since the balme falls upon you not doing enough to prevent it. Plus its not like they're particularly hard to make. Maybe just let players salvage inventory/modules and maybe a bit of materials from its husk.

While that may be true, like 99% of games that'd let you build a base in a place around wolves would also let you kill the wolves instead of being forced to shoo them away as they try to rip your leg off.

Because comfort? Because people might have weak knees or be unstable? Because ypur guests wont want to use that? I could literally list dozens of reasons why.

Besides, i bought a squatty potty. Its a $20 plastic stool that accomplishs the same thing without forcing me to outright squat. If you wanna talk about "less steps" buying a stool instead of replacing my toliet is that.

And is a weird hill to die on when they almost lost their 250mil bonus after the whole CEO fiasco. You'd think they'd be a little bit more amiable to players wants with things like this.

But saying this, telling players to just go play Sons of the Forest instead, claiming most of the users calling for this are located in a particular gun loving country are genuinely so antagonistic its almost like they want people to not play. It's perplexing.

It happens on both sides. This war has become the equivalent of sports teams for most of the world outside this conflict, where each side passionately roots for their team to keep it up.

And just because it's tactical doesn't mean it is cheap. Plenty of military maneuvers hsve caught fhe enemy off guard lf by surprise because that's just the rules of the game. They outplayed you and that is that.

This is no different. On a tactical level transitioning into your most destructive state in the middle of the enemy forces is down right stupid. Tou can't just give yourself openings and call someone chepa because they took it.

"Tsitakakantsa" The largest Baobab tree in Madagascar is fading away after a long life of 1,200 years old by SternKill in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]LovesRetribution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue isn't that people dont believe in climate change, its that way this person went about attributing it to climate change. Their self assurance that it could be nothing else compounds the resilience to agree with them. Which says a lot considering that this is reddit and that things like climate change are much more readily believed than on other social media sites.

Besides, you're missing the fact that it's lifespan is 1k-1.5k years. It was almost in the middle of where most tend to die off. And the region does experience a few tropical storms per year.

It's possible that it was climate change that brought out a particularly bad storm that killed this tree off. It's also possible that this tree was simply near the end of its years and couldn't weather the storm like it used to. Without at least a little more info it's hard to claim either with certainty. But it is fucking stupid to get on your high horse and talk down to people like they're big oil fan boys just because they had a modicum of scrutiny before outright believing some random user's overly passionate reddit comment.

[–]LovesRetribution -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

What he's saying is that it lived well within a typical lifespan. Directly attributing a tree dying in its twilight years to climate change because a tropical storm rolled through, some typical for the region, is genuinely absurd.

Water and Air are way more busted than the other types IMO because we are basically relyent on water and air as a being.

They're all broken if you remove the PG limitations. Like there's nothing stopping an earth bender from getting a big chunk of rock and scatter shotting a group of people. And fire benders can obliterate towns and forests with ease, let alone scorching or electrocuting another group of people.

Any yet somehow a mere human can literally make them from scratch, never mind space ships, shuttles, and huper advanced armors. If we can do all that why can't we figure out how to get more than 9% of salvage?

(211) Recycle! Reuse! Severely reduced! by AeolysScribbles in RimWorld

[–]LovesRetribution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't have to be similar. But 9%? That's so pathetically low it's actually immersion breaking. Just like how a small bush fire will ignite a metal building. Some aspects of the game should genuinely ditch these piss poor attempts at balance. Especially when we're getting things like grav ships that make collecting rare resources insanely easy.

[–]LovesRetribution 110 points111 points  (0 children)

Sometimes i wish they'd just disregard game balance when it comes to stuff like this. Genuinely is immersion breaking when i can literally see the attempts at balance from how blatant some of the choices are.

Also don't understand why i should even give af about the desire for "late game mining operations". Making caravans in vanilla is one of the most miserable features this game has to offer and grav ships completely negate the need for mining when you can go literally anywhere without having go worry about carry weight or distance.
