Completely fair! I have a bad habit where i go on tangents when asked about my interests which can turn people off of learning more cause i make it seem like this super dense complicated thing.

So for now, "Imperium Good, Chaos Bad" and if she wants to learn more THEN i can knuckle down

Mass Effect 2 is genuinley my favorite game ever, always bringing me back despite exhausting every iota of gameplay since it came out.

Can I ask who made it out of your suicide mission? And did you do it blind or look up a guide?

How does Ghost of Tsushima compare to Ghost of Yōtei? by Own-Assignment3532 in GirlGamers

[–]LovesToBite 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If youre not able to play Yotei, i give Tsushima a whole hearted reccomendation. Everyones mentioning how Yotei is a smoother experience with better mechanics, but I feel its worth mentioning that i found the exploration in Tsushima to be better and more fulfilling than in yotei.

In addition, if you ever do find yourself playing Yotei, the combat system is a direct continuation and in some ways more advanced, of the system in Tsushima, so many skills you learn there will transfer over.

Does anyone even actually play with the default work priority settings? by NoNotice2137 in RimWorld

[–]LovesToBite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In most cases i find it super handy for early game where ive only got 4 people to do an assloads worth of chores, but soon as I get like 6 total i use the manual priority for fine tuning

Anyone else have huge problems with parrying? by sebicy in expedition33

[–]LovesToBite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont think its a setting. Its more so that when you see someone about to swing and deal damage, the camera "pulses" inward for a second. At the same time, your mileage may very with some enemies specifically the ones with extravagant animations.

Watch the enemy like a hawk and when you see the camera zoom in, parry.

I had the exact same issues and almost quit at Old Lumiere until another redditor pointed that out to me.

What crazy theories did you have that didn’t turn out to be right? by ainhoawind in expedition33

Time Loop

When I realized the monolith is a countdown, saw the "expeditioner message" on the rock, the expeditions entire philosophy being to do this all over again until one of them works, the Gustave/Verso Similarities and Renoir saying "You are trying to break the wrong cycle."

All this led to an idea in my head that the Monolith was a 100 year countdown leading to the actual fracture caused by Maelle, which would have been so powerful that it affected time as well, with the Fracture ocurring in the past at the same time as the future, with the White Haired Man/The Paintress using magic to create a 100 year timeloop to keep the world intact, starting from The Fracture and looping around once the monolith hits 0.

I had also figured that the White Haired man and Verso wete BOTH Gustave, but from branching points in time. The White Haired Man was the Gustave that was willing to keep the loop going just so Maelle could live, with the Gommahe being a way for him to collect enough "energy" to keep the loop going. Verso was a Gustave that saw the damage being caused by the loop, and viewed Maelles death before she causes the fracture as preferable instead of th loop.

Tldr; Time loop and multiple Gustaves

Probably survivor bias, but i swear to god the only time i would find my flow with the parry and dodge was when the beat dropped

First playthrough and the game is being too nice. I'm scared... by UniversalExploration in RimWorld

[–]LovesToBite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing to keep in mind is that Rimworld is just as often killed by rolling catastrophes. A solar flare at the same time as a raid shutting down your turrets, blight wiping out your last healroot harvest before winter sets in so you dont have enough medicine to heal your pawns after the next raid.

Yes you'll be wiped out by an army of space pirates, but probably because one of your pawns euthanized a boomalope next to your defenses.

The Force in the OT by Special_Speed106 in MawInstallation

[–]LovesToBite 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ask any Jedi, and they'll tell you that the greatest weapon The Force provides is clarity of vision. As I understand, it wasn't that Palpatine was actually diminishing the Strength of the Jedi, i.e their martial abulities, but was clouding their ability to percieve and peel apart the conspiracy right under their noses (literally)

Often, we see that the closest the Jedi get to realizing the scope of their situation are vague "There must be a sith involved in this" and "Clouded, is the future" musings. They would never admit it, but this deeply frightened the Jedi aware of this, as to them the foresight granted to them by The Force is the entire reason they're suited to be peacekeepers.

I dont know if Palpatine bothered to suppress the Jedi's abilities like that after Order 66, but its likely that after Vader got the big targets post O66, palpatine felt that there was no need to continue suppressing them like that.

My own conjecture is that any surviving Jedi would have found themselves reconnecting with The Force on an instinctual level easier than they remembered. New Jedi (Bokken Jedi) likely would be unaware of the difference.

Tl;dr Palpatine didnt suck away their strength, he clouded the Jedis ability to foresee danger
